‘Rangers Run Riot and Roll Over Stones’

Carterton Rangers cruised through to the next round after a staggering 29-1 win over Luckless hosts, Greystones. Stefan Read bagged himself a nine-goal haul in the biggest W&D result in recent memory. The Division Three side were 14-1 up at half time with further goals from Billy Hales (4) with hat tricks going to Bill Hales, Ben Pearce, Tom Clapton and James Barker. Josh Bishop and Andy Stone each bagged a brace in the rout. Rocky Burton’s goal for the Division Four side was mere consolation.

Hanborough also booked their passage to the next round as they travelled to opponents Wootton. Dan Haggie and Dan Smith each bagged a brace, with Liam Harris, Mark Stinchcombe, Craig Johnston and Aston Leach getting on the score sheet in their 8-0 win.

Eynsham SSC from Division Two, produced an upset as they earned a 2-0 win over Kingham AB from Division One. Dan Clifton and Tom Smith netted the goals.

Jason Lonsdale (2), Chris Zoldan (2), Chris Bowles and Mike Bolt all scored in Carterton A’s 7-1 win over Combe. Max Dunn replied for the visitors.

Minster Lovell went down 4-0 as they visited Chipping Norton. Warwick Thompkins scored twice with James Harri and Arrun Whithin adding.

Brize Norton from Division One narrowly avoided a shock exit as they came from behind to beat Division Three’s FC Hollybush 2-1. The visitors took the lead in the first half through Tim Stiddard, but the hosts overturned the deficit and ran out 2-1 winners with goals from Pawel Bronk and Pete Hutt.

Tom Radburn, Lewis Hathaway and Craig Greenall were all on target in North Leigh A’s 3-1 win over Tackley. The visitors hit back in the second half through Kyle DeFreitas but it was not enough.

Hosts, Craig McCallum scored two in Charlbury Town’s 4-1 win over FC Nomads. Darren Craig replied for Nomads but further goals from Shaun Gilbert and Mark Goode settled the tie.

Matt Thompson scored twice in Witney Royals 4-1 win over Kirtlington. Sam Ferrier scored for the hosts but Jamie Kennedy and Luke Lewis-Rippington put the result beyond doubt.

Carl Dodds, Carl Austin, Dan King and Chris Hirons all found the back of the net in West Witney’s 4-2 win over Chadlington. Mark Sheffield and Richard Ingram replied for the hosts but it was too little too late.

Hosts Middle Barton went down 7-1 to Hailey. Jacob Hambridge and Craig Mays each scored twice with Joey King, Mark Wright and Dean Mays adding.

Gavin Kominek was on the score sheet for Spartan Rangers as they played host to Carterton Pumas. However it was the visitors earned their passage to the next round with a 3-1 score line courtesy of strikes from Darren Davenport, Simon Oakey and Tom Nickless.

Nathan Bennet (2), Jordan Day, Conor O’Shea and Jack Henry were all on target for hosts Bampton United who beat FC Mills 5-1. A Rob DeBanks header was Mills only consolation.

Ducklington Narrowly edged through 3-2 against travelling Freeland A in their encounter. Ben Hutter, Joe Cockroft and Ian Peedell scored the telling goals as Scott Greening and Pable Torres hit back for Freeland.

Division One
‘Hailey and Mo lose 3 in a row’

Mo Semlali scored again for Hailey Reserves as they fell to their third successive league defeat. They went down 2-1 to Hanborough for whom Glen Willett scored twice.

Division Two
‘Bampton not quite Goodenough as West Witney earn a Goodwin’

West Witney Reserves maintained their 100% record at the top of Division Two with a 3-1 win over visiting Bampton Town. Jamie Goodwin scored twice for the hosts with Josh Grant nabbing the other. Jack Goodenough replied for Bampton.

Roger James scored a hat trick in Milton’s 4-0 win over North Leigh B. Stephen Hocknell scored the other goal for the hosts.

Tom West (2) and Loyd Edwards both got on the score sheet for Witney Royals Reserves in their 3-2 win over Ducklington Reserves. The visitors fought back but despite a Dan Southgate strike and a superb Gary Brooks free-kickm the hosts held on for the win.


Division Three
'Minster Men Go Top'

Mikel Ryan scored a hat trick in Minster Lovell Reserves 6-3 win over Spartan Rangers Reserves. James Hurn, Sam Hatton and Ryan Penn got the others despite a late rally from Spartan with goals from Gareth Thomas, Ben Allen and James Macke. The win moves Minster to the top of the Division.

Ben Jones scored two and Callum Parker the third in Freeland B’s 3-0 win over Brize Norton Reserves.

Ollie Bush (2), Lee Manley, Craig Isle, John Smales and Jon White all scored in Carterton B’s 6-1 win over Chipping Norton Reserves. Keiron Watts scored for Chippy.

Division Four
‘Corinthians Win’

Bourton Rovers closed the gap on leaders Bampton United as they picked up 3 points in their 7-0 win over Kingham Reserves. Matt Winter (2), Rob Curtis (2), David Nieman (2) and Sam Mattock scored the important goals for the hosts.

Corinthians came from behind to beat Witney Royals A 4-3. Karl Shepherd, Josh Russell and Dan Hall scored for the hosts but a hat trick for Darren Mobey brought the visitors back into the game. A Graham Ciudiskis free kick was the fourth in the well-deserved win.

Scott Mason (2), Bradley Snell and Arrun Clitton scored the goals for hosts Ducklington A in their 4-0 win over Chadlington Reserves.

FC Hollybush Reserves picked up their first win of the season courtesy of a 3-1 win over Spartan Rangers A. Matt Tinson scored for Spartan but goals from Nathan Baigent, Dean Spivey and Darren Aston gave the hosts all three points.

The points were shared at Eynsham SSC Reserves as the hosts drew 1-1 with Milton Reserves. Lee Parsons and Darren Chivers scored for Eynsham and Milton respectively.

Oxfordshire Junior Shield
Witney Wanderers beat Union Street 4-2 in their re-arranged Junior Shield match. James Bacon (2), Tom Gregory and Thiago DeSilva scored the goals.
