OFA Junior Shield
'Pumas on the prowl in the Junior Shield'

Kyle Drummond and Steve Harries each grabbed a hat trick in Carterton Pumas 9-0 thrashing of Souldern in the OFA Junior Shield. Tom Smart, Dean Matthews and Simon Oakley scored the others.

Jason Vaughan also grabbed a hat trick in Chadlington’s 5-1 victory over Chasewell Park. Steve Hunt (2), and Dean Murphy also got on the score sheet.

Carterton Rangers met fellow W&D side Eynsham SSC and ran out comfortable 6-1 winners. There were goal for Ben Pearce (2), Stefan Reed, Andy Stone, Chris Smith and Craig Williams. John Ayres replied for the visitors.

Goals in extra time from Craig McCallum (2), John Webb and Shaun Gilbert saw Charlbury beat 4-1 KEA after drawing 1-1 at 90 minutes.

Milton had a player sent off in their fiery encounter with Wootton which ended 3-2 in favour of the visitors. Jim Littlewood and Jake Taylor scored for Milston, but a brace from Jon Alder and a rare strike from Jason Ludlow secured Wootton’s passage to the next round.

Chris Betreen hit a hat trick in Tackley’s 4-2 win over Wychwood Forest. Oscar Trigg got the other with Josh Hornsby and Ben Powell replying for Wychwood.


Premier Division

‘West Witney Chip away on gap at the top’

Chipping Norton dropped their first points of the season as they were held to a 0-0 draw with Spartan Rangers.

West Witney closed the gap to a single point after their 2-1 win over Ducklington. Dan King and Jon Fletcher scored the winning goals for the hosts after Ben Hutter netted in the first half.

Aston Leach (2) and Dan Smith scored for Hanborough as they earned a 3-2 win over Hailey. Dean Mays and Joey King had earlier put the visitors ahead.

Division One

‘Stanton still number One as Aston breeze past Brize’

Stanton Harcourt remain top courtesy of a 3-1 win over FC Mills. Dan Smith took care of the goals, completing his hat trick in the second half. Stanton Keeper, Chris Montgomery did enough at the other end after his opponents, for the third time in succession, failed to convert a penalty. However, Mills had earlier scored through Nick Edwards.

Aston eased to an easy 6-2 win over Brize Norton. The goals were shared amongst Ben Sunblad (2), Ryan Hewer, Wes Dymond, Matt Brown and Warren Austin. Dan King and Gerrard Morgan scored for the hosts.

Minster Lovell narrowly edged their tie against Hailey Reserves, coming out 6-5 winners in this epic match. Minster raced to a 3-0 half time lead but Hailey Mounted a Mo Semlali-inspired second half comeback.

Semlali grabbed a hat trick, with Jon Andrews and Dan King also scoring, however, Nathan Harris lead the scoring for Minster grabbing a four-timer. Nathan Bennett and Steven Barker also scored for Minster securing the win.

Chris Lawrence (2) and Shane Imms were on target as FC Nomads beat Kingham AB 3-1. Dom Hemmings scored for the visitors.

Division Two

‘JK Rowls in a Royal haul’

West Witney Reserves closed the gap on Eynsham SSC at the top of Division Two after a 4-0 win over Combe. The hosts were in control of the match but failed to convert any of their chances. West Witney, on the other hand made the most of their chances Matt Townsed, Adam Bolley, Karl Roberts and Jamie Goodwin finding the back of the net.

Jamie Kennedy smashed home a four-goal haul in Witney Royals 6-1 win over Charlbury Town Reserves. Dan Paintin and Lee Beer got the other two.

The points were shared at Ducklington as Duck Reserves drew 2-2 with North Leigh B. Tom Madden and Martin Ferreira scored for the hosts with Craig Horne getting both for North Leigh.

Jack Eaglestone (2), Martin Kay and Ashley Scearce scored the goals for Middle Barton in their 4-2 win over Bampton Town. Ollie and Jamie Hawkins got one each for Bampton but it was not enough.


Division Three
‘Hatts off as Joe does it again!’

FC Hollybush continued their 100% start to the season with a convincing 8-2 win over Chipping Norton Reserves. The hosts struggled to get control of the game, but a fantastic five-goal haul from Joe Hatt saw the Hollybush eventually cruise to the win. Paul Dray (2) and Bradley Olive completed the scoring. Sam Philpott picked up a couple more for travelling Chippy.

Minster Lovell Reserves also have maximum points courtesy of their 5-2 win over Freeland B. Arron Mullis (2), Adam Bennett, James Hurn and Liam Crawford scored the goals for the hosts with Richard Stanley and Mark Buckingham hitting back for Freeland.

Craig Isle and Ollie Bush each bagged a brace in Carterton B’s 4-0 win over Aston Reserves.

Brize Norton Reserves picked up their first win of the season in an 11-goal thriller at Spartan Rangers Reserves. Pete Jenkins (2), Dexter Lancaster and Shane Brown scored for the hosts, but a hat trick from Ollie Puddle and further goals from Shaun Rawlings (2), Rob Brown and Gary Taylor gave Brize the points in the 7-4 win.

Division Four
‘Milton day-trip to Bourton-on-the-slaughter’

Bourton Rovers had a field day against Milton Reserves as they handed out a 12-0 thrashing. Rob Curtis helped himself to five with Matt Winter picking up a hat trick. Jake Oakey, Stefan Ternier, Rick Coleman and Stuart Orton all also got in on the act.

Ducklington A stay level on points with Bourton after a 9-0 trouncing of Eynsham SSC Reserves. Scott Mason (3), Josh Hartley (2), Nathan Haggis, Jacob Souch, Will Brown and Aidan Forde completed the scoring.

Witney Royals A picked up their second win of the season with a 3-1 win over Spartan Rangers A. Gary Nicholson (2) and Dan Hall scored for Royals with James Macke scoring for Spartan.

Kingham AB Reserves eventually ran out 3-1 winners against FC Hollybush Reserves. After a tight first half which ended 0-0, the hosts took and held the lead with goals from Ed Webb, Richard French and Simon Blackham after Stu Phillips had leveled for the visitors.
