Fred Ford Cup - 2nd Round
The current holders, Hailey, will not be defending their title this year as they were dumped out of the cup 4-2 by Bourton Rovers. Mo Semlali and Dan King scored for the hosts but goal from Adam Webley (2), Dan Smith and Sam Mattock sent the visitors through to the next round.

Tower Hill Stars of Division Three potentially recorded the surprise result of the round by beating Aston from Division One. The visiting players top flight experience showed as they ran out 3-1 winners. Kevin Davies bagged a brace with Craig Mays getting the other. Reece Waine replied for Aston.

Carterton Rangers also produced arguably a surprise result with a 2-0 win over Hanborough. Adam Izzard with a bullet header from a corner and Dan Hall doubled the lead to go through to the next round.

Dave Cross smashed in a double-hat trick as Spartan Rangers blew away Witney Royals 10-0. Royals were already trailing 4-0 when they lost keeper, Tom Such through a head injury. Replacement keeper Adam Clarke was unable to stem the flow and Spartan hit six more with Jamie Timms, Josh Grant, Donny Henderson-Sowerby all getting on the score sheet with an additional own goal completing the rout.

In other matches, the results went to form as the Premier Sides eased through the round. Chipping Norton Town also cruised through with a 7-0 win over Tower Hill. Rhys Warner-Carter grabbed a hat trick as Matt Jeffries, Dan Bott, Kieran Watts and Gary Smith all found the back of the net.

Carl Williams and Jack Morton each scored a double in Carterton Town A’s 7-1 win over FC Nomads. Kevin Rookes, Wes Christian and Jason Lonsdale got the others.

Tom Harvey (2), Lewis Dore (2), Tom Radburn and Lewis Hathaway were all on target as North Leigh A beat Chadlington 6-3. Charlie White (2) and Jordan Godfrey replied for the vanquished Chad.

A hat trick was scored by both Mike Thompson and Sean Gilbert in Charlbury’s 8-0 win over Brize Norton. Craig McCallum and Mark Clements rounded off the scoring.

Wychwood Forest from Division Three came close to an upset after narrowly losing 3-2 to Premier side West Witney. Steve Harris and Tom Cairns notched for the hosts but a strike from Kai Merrit and a brace from Johnny Fletcher saw the hosts edge through to the next round.

Ducklington are also through after a 6-2 win over Corinthians. Perry Tinson and Tom Gregory each scored twice accompanied by goals from George Townsend and Callum Mutch. Peter Barncoat and Jordan Anderson scored for Corinthians.

Milton, from Division Two, narrowly overcame Eynsham A, a few places below at the top of Division Three. Jim Littlewood, Leigh Hilary and Steven Pearce (2) all scored in a 4-3 win for the visitors with Jordan Lyne and Olie Page (2) replying for Eynsham.

The sides currently leading the way in Division One; Kirtlington and Eynsham SSC both met with the visitors earning a 4-3 win and their passage to the next round. John Ayres recorded a hat trick with Charlie Siret netting the other. Ross Grey, Nathan Kelly and Toby Smith replied for the hosts.

Evan Boland (2), and Callum Peters scored for Stonesfield and Moreton Rangers respectively, with Boland’s brace earing the hosts a 2-1 victory.

The remaining matches were even closer and had to be decided by penalties as FC Hollybush drew 1-1 with Combe. Brad Bryant continued his good scoring form, netting for the hosts and David Snook scoring a rare goal for the visitors, who held their nerve in the shoot-out to win 5-4.

Penalties were also required to separate Wootton and Witney Wanderers after their 3-3 draw. Graham Berry (2) and Jon Holder scored for the hosts with Andrew Thomson, Bernie Crumlish and Ben Border replying for the visitors, who notched all 5 spot kicks to earn a 5-4 win.

Division Two
Carterton Town B moved into third place courtesy of a 4-3 win over Chipping Norton Town Reserves. Matt Chadwick and Jirka Dobesu (2) scored for the hosts but goals from Chris MacNeil, Dan Robinson, Dan Sollis and Adam Harris earned all 3 points for the visitors.

Spartan Rangers Reserves earned their third win of the season after a 3-2 win over Minster Lovell Reserves. Nick Brown, Damien Perks and Craig Isle were all on target with their strikes as Charlie McCullough and Mykel Ryan replied for Minster.

The points were shared at Hanborough were Boro’ Reserves drew 2-2 with Kingham All Blacks. Matt Carter and Chris Walker scored for the hosts as Gareth Price and Jack Aitken levelled the score line for Kingham.

Division Three
All the action was near the bottom of table in Division Three this weekend with Bampton United Reserves emerging victorious from an epic 6-5 win over Bourton Rovers Reserves. Carl Pritchard netted a hat trick for Bampton with team mates, Ben Liddle (2) and Jake Pritchard getting the others. Bourton Rallied and scored through Ross Temple-Richmond, Matty Winter, Ben Birch, Toby Corbin and Lee Mosson but couldn’t find the last goal to level the tie.

Enstone picked up three points courtesy of a 4-1 win over FC Mills. Andy Thomas, Mike Davies, Elliot Samworth and a Gian Rizkalla penalty put the result beyond doubt with Dan Bilton’s goal being Mills’ only consolation.

Division Four
Callum Jefferies bagged an amazing seven-goal-haul in Chadlington Reserves’ 7-2 win over Eynsham SSC Reserves, moved his side top of Division Four in the process. Darren Mobey and Dan Clifford responded in vain.

FC Hollybush Reserves continued their surge up the table courtesy of a 4-2 win over Kingham All Blacks Reserves’. Rob Acock and Olly Peters scored for the hosts but goals from Darren Smith, Dan Hedges, Steve Andrews and Dave Cooper secured the points.

Paul Townsend scored for Milton Reserves who went down 4-1 to Charlbury Town Reserves. Sam Cleaver, Daryl Potter, Matt Cox and Martin Grimsley were all on the score sheet for the visitors.

Brize Norton Reserves drew with Wootton Reserves 3-3. Steven Towle, Jon Ozwald and Jamie Hutchins all scored for the hosts with Jacob Cooke, Dan Leggett and Dan Boulton all replying for the visitors.

The points were also shared as Combe Reserves drew 2-2 with Aston Reserves. Leon Richards scored both for Combe with Sam Duthie and Charlie Fisher netting for Aston.

With neither side able to find a winner, Spartan Rangers A and Stonesfield Reserves had to settle for a point a piece after their 1-1 draw. James Macke and Peter Searle scoring for Spartan and Stonesfield respectively.
