Fred Ford Cup - Quarter Final
There was an avalanche of goals in a cup-laden weekend of Witney & District Football. In the Fred Ford Quarter Final, Premier Division leaders Carterton Town A demolished Division Three Side, Middle Barton 10-1. Jack Morton and Jason Lonsdale each recorded a hat trick with Carl Williams (2), Liam Aspey adding. An own goal completed the tally after Josh Hunt had pulled one back for the Visitors.

Division One Stonesfield emerged victorious after a tough battle with Tower Hill Stars of Division Three which ended 5-4 in favour of the hosts. The score line see-sawed with Kevin Davies (2), Will Graham and James Scott all netting for the home side, but goals from Peter Searle (2), Lloyd Belcher, Tim Wyatt and Sam Hart saw Stonesfield secure their passage to the semi-final.

Jack Busby – Quarter Final
Hailey Reserves put their poor league form aside for their cup meeting with Milton Reserves and picked up a 3-1 win in the process. Chris King, Tom Dix and Dan Lewington all scored in the win. Dan Hootton replied in vain for Milton.

Junior Cup – Second Round
Hosts, Aston came from 2 behind to beat Moreton Rangers 4-2. The visitors went 2 up within 10 minutes through Harry Peters and David Toon and looked on course to win the tie, however, Aston recovered well and were soon in front after Ryan Hewer’s brace. Gareth Preston and Jamie Austin grabbed the other two goals to see Aston through to the next round.

A brace from Jack Brownrigg was enough to secure FC Hollybush’s place in the next round of the Junior Cup after they saw off Milton 2-1. Steven Pearce replied for the visitors.

Chris Laurence bagged another brace as FC Nomads of Division Two claimed Division One scalp in the form of North Leigh A. Daz Craig added the other for the hosts with Craig Horne and Paul O-Hare replying for North Leigh in their 3-2 defeat.

Hanborough Reserves went down 4-1 to Spartan Rangers in the proverbial game of two halves. Boro’ controlled the first half, taking a 1-0 lead, however the second 45 minutes was a different story as Spartan took shifted up a gear or two. Dave Cross, Josh Grant, Rob Marchbank and Ben Allen all got on the score sheet for Spartan.

Supplementary Cup – Second Round
Lewis Bartlett scored a hat trick for Tower Hill in their 9-0 thrashing of Kingham AB Reserves. Jesse Lawrence (2), Adam Bolley (2), Jack Simpson and Jamie Harris all also got in on the act.

Premier Division
A single goal from Hanborough’s Paul Rose was enough to end Witney Royals unbeaten run and secure a 1-0 win for the visitors.

Combe picked up 3 points courtesy of a 3-2 win over Charlbury Town. Charlie Ibbotson, Matt Baker and Ethan Penney all scored in the win as Duncan Fitzgerald and Craig McCallum replied in vain for Charlbury.

Relegation threatened Minster Lovell and Ducklington each took a point from their hard-fought match which ended 1-1. Eddy Dunn and Jack Scott scored for Minster and Duck respectively. Both sides could have taken all three points, but Minster were thwarted by heroics from Duck keeper Perry Tinson while Duck will be feeling aggrieved, after seeing a late goal ruled out for offside.

Division Two
Witney Wanderers picked up all three points after their 5-1 win over Minster Lovell Reserves. The hosts scored through Ben Border (2), Bernie Crumlish, Stu Morrison and Josh Walkington. Minster came undone after imploding towards the end of the an otherwise fairly contested match. Mykel Ryan was sent off by referee Chris Ody after a foul in his own penalty area with Cody Davies and Neil Crozier dismissed after the ensuing discussion with the referee. Alex Coutts was also shown a red after the final whistle. It could have been worse for Minster had not missed twice from the spot.

Spartan Rangers Reserves ebat Kingham AB 2-1 with Omar Semlali and Charlie Harper both netting.

Division Three
The only game in Division Three saw hosts, Corinthians demolish Bourton Rovers Reserves 7-1. Frank Webb scored twice with Harry Puffitt, Sam King, Dan Smith, Luke Cuthbert and an own goal all contributing towards the tally. Jordan Harding’s goal for Bourton was scant consolation.

Division Four
A much improved Brize Norton Reserves climbed out of the relegation zone for the first time this season after an heroic 4-2 win over Division Four leaders FC Hollybush Reserves. Dave Wanless, Olly Puddle, Rob Hook and Jamie Huitchins were all on the score sheet. Dave Cooper and Arron Hyatt replied for the Bush’ who were defeated for only the second first time this season.

Charlbury Town Reserves closed the gap on leaders Hollybush to just 3 points after a 4-2 win over Wychwood Forest Reserves. Steve Harris and Chris Brooksbank scored for the hosts but goals from Sam Cleaver, Daryl Potter, Gary Jones and Matt Cox settled the tie in favour of the visitors.

Aston Reserves are now 4 points clear in their place after their 3-1 win over Eynsham SSC Reserves. Darren Mobey netted for Eynsham but a Nick Angus brace and a strike from Sam Duthie secured all three points for Aston.

Stonesfield Reserves and Combe Reserves had to settle for a point a piece after they drew 2-2. Jack Barker and Nick Clarke were on target for Stonesfield with Ben Molyneaux grabbing two for Combe.

Wootton Reserves narrowly beat Chadlington Reserves 3-2 with Michael Steers (2) and Jacob Cooke netting for the hosts. Callum Jeffries and Jacob Hazelwood hit back for Chad but it was not enough.
