Fred Ford Cup Quarter Final Replay
A single goal from Mike Duerden was enough to see Carterton A through to the semi-finals of the Fred Ford cup, knocikign out neighbours Carterton Rangers 1-0, in their semi-final match.

Premier Division
Hailey’s title charge was stifled on Saturday by visiting side Ducklington, who came away with a 4-0 win. Damien Tolley, James Flemming, Craig Mays and Ian Peedle scored the goals that secured all three points. This result allowed Hanborough to move level on points after a 2-1 win over FC Chequers.

Jamie Kennedy scored two in Witney Royals 3-1 win over Kingham AB. Matt Thompson scored the third with Matt Smith replying for the hosts.

North Leigh in third took all three points against bottom side, Charlbury Town after a closely fought 4-3 win. Jason Lonsdale (2), Will Smalden and Sam Duthie scored for the hosts with Duncan Fitzgerald, Matt Smith and Andy Woodley replying for Charlbury.

Martin Cripps scored the only goal of the game in Spartan Rangers 1-0 win over Combe.

Division One
Brize Norton moved to the top of Division one for the first time this season after a 3-0 win over FC Nomads. Paul Morrison, Gerard Morgan and Matt Howard scored the winning goals.

Chipping Norton went down 1-0 to a resurgent Ducklington Reserves and slipped to second in the process. An early Andy Jamieson goal gave them the lead which they held thanks to a superb defensive display, and some fine saves from Gary Williams.

West Witney, in third failed to capitalise on Chippy’s slip, and went down 3-2 to Stanton Harcourt. Dan Hackett, David Cooper and George Woodcock all scored for Stanton, with Tony McLeman and Ian Sparkes netting for Witney.

Minster Lovell moved comfortably into the relative safety of mid-table after a fine 5-2 win over Aston. The goals came from Ian Wright, Scott Thompson, Nathan Harris, Liam Crawford and Leo Haines. Dan Long and Matt Brown replied for Aston.

A ten-man FC Mills went down 7-2 to AC Finstock, while the game between Witney Royals Reserves and Hanborough Reserves was abandoned near the end due to a believed broken ankle of Royals midfielder, Joe Crosbie.

Division Two
FC Chequers Reserves continued to lose points in their promotion push after being held to a 1-1 draw by Middle Barton. Tom Gonzales gave the hosts the lead from the spot with Paul Kay replying late in the game for Middle Barton.

Freeland A failed to make any ground on the leaders after taking a 2-0 lead but eventually going down 3-2 to Ducklington A. Darius Hodaei and Bruno Chaves scored for the visitors but it was not enough as goals from Tom Madden, David Duggan and Andrew Dury’s goals completed the comeback for Duck.

Title chasing Milton also slipped up, losing to a reborn Brize Norton Reserves. The visitors were always in control, winning 3-0, courtesy of goals from Shaun Rawlings, Ollie Puddle and Steve Morgan.

Charlbury Town also continued their good form by beating Wootton 4-0. Travis Rolls, Martin Grimsley and Gary Jones (2) scored the goals.

Division Three
Tackley emerged victorious from the proverbial 6-pointer with fellow relegation candidates Kingham, AB Reserves. Tackley moved out of the relegation zone after their 4-1 win with goals from Craig Broome (2), Ryan Wearing and Greg Finnemore.

At the top, Eynsham SSC closed the gap on leaders North Leigh B to 3 points after beating Chipping Norton Reserves 5-1. John Ayres was back amongst the goals grabbing a hat trick as Matt Walker and Lewis Clarke added. Justin Morgan hit Chippy’s lone reply.

Carterton Pumas kept pace after handing out a 7-0 thrashing to Witney Royals A. Kei Merrett picked up a 4-goal haul with Dean Matthews, Dan Chillinton and Mark Benstead all finding the back of the net.

Matt Townsend scored a hat trick in Spartan Rangers Reserves 7-1 win over Minster Lovell Reserves. Nick Brown (2), Ben Allen and Tom Merchant also scored. Cody Davies hit Minster’s lone reply.

Gary Smith and Jamie Goodwin were on target in West Witney Reserves 2-1 win over FC Hollybush. Dean Spivey scored for the visitors but it was not enough as the hosts held on for the win.

Division Four
Carterton B took all 3 points after a narrow 1-0 win over Combe Reserves. Matt Hubert with the goal.

Freeland B bounced back after last week’s defeat to hand out a 5-0 hammering to Spartan Rangers A. Tom Mason, Callum Parker, Chris Greenaway, Keith Biles and Harry Irwin all got on the score sheet.

Rocky Burton (2), lead the way in Greystones 3-2 win over Ducklington B. Dean Lee grabbed the other as Will Brown and Ben Jackson replied in vain for Duck.
