Fred Ford Cup 15-16 - Round Three
A goal each from Rhys Warner-Carter and Mark Corbett saw Chipping Norton Town through to the next round as they saw off Stonesfield 2-0.

It was less straight forward for Charlbury Town who had to dig deep for their 4-3 win over Witney Wanderers. Josh Walkington, Gary Atkinson and Zak Dixon were on target for the hosts.

Middle Barton are also through but are a round of matches behind as they beat Minster Lovell 3-2 in the Second Round. Kieron Fallon and Charlie Collins scored for the hosts but Jack Eley (2) and John Umney were on target to secure the visitors passage to Round Three.

John Fathers Oxfordshire Junior Shield 15-16 - Round Three
Max Godwin scored for North Leigh as they went down 2-1 to Bicester Town Colts.

Premier Division
Chris Hirons scored twice in West Witney’s 3-2 defeat of Combe, however, only one was in the correct net. Hirons had added to Kai Merrit’s earlier strike before putting the ball past his own keeper. Simon Gale grabbed the second for Combe but Mike Duerden stepped up to net the winner for the hosts. West Witney remain 4 points clear at the top with a game in hand.

Carterton Town A kept pace with West Witney as they picked up 3 points after a comfortable 4-0 win over Bourton Rovers, who, until Saturday, hadn’t lost a league game in over a season. Kevin Rookes, Jason Lonsdale, Jason Trinder and Jack Morton all found the back of the net for Town to end Bourton’s unbeaten run.

Hanborough picked up a big three points after a narrow 2-1 win over struggling Hailey. Ian Steele scored for the hosts, but in-form striker, Joey Burgess bagged another with Arran Hobley getting the second.

Division One
Eynsham SSC showed their title winning pedigree after seeing off fellow title challengers, Carterton Rangers 5-4 and went top in the process. The hosts hit the back of the net four times through Jonny Dover, Jamie McDonough and Joe Collett with Adam Izzards bullet header being the pick of the bunch, however John Ayres re-found his scoring touch and banged in a hat trick. John Andrews and Andy Stratford added the others to help secure the three points and move Eynsham top of the tree at Christmas.

Spartan Rangers helped Eynsham to topple previous leaders Kirtlington from the number one spot and bolster their own position by beating the visitors 2-1. Jake East scored for Kirtlington but goals from Frank Clarke and Jamie Timms secured the important 3 points for Spartan, who moved into third, a point behind the vanquished visitors.

Brize Norton will see out the year without a point after going down 3-2 to FC Hollybush. Steve Holder, Alan Rogers and Jack Brownrigg were all on target for the visitors with Shaun Rawlings and Dave Wanless replying for Brize. The hosts could have been on the end of a worse score line were it not for the heroics of Nick Merriman in the Brize goal.

Steve Hunt scored a hat trick in Chadlington’s 5-1 win over Hailey Reserves. Rob Styles replied for the visitors who still remain pointless this season. However further goals from Callum Jeffries and Lee Woodward secured the points.

Division Two
Carterton Town B were in less than festive spirit as they demolished Hanborough Reserves 6-0. Olly Bush and Dan Sollis each bagged a brace with Adam Harris and Lee Beer getting the others.

Bampton United stay in second place after a 4-3 win over Minster Lovell Reserves. Connor O’Shea (2), Jake Pritchard and Ben Liddle were on target for the hosts with Jack Booth, Mykel Ryan and an Alex Coutts penalty being Minster’s response.

Spartan Rangers Reserves saw off hosts Kingham AB 4-3 with Alex Thomson, James Macke, Martin Ferreira and Arron White all finding the back of the net. Gareth Price (2) and Olly Peters replied for Kingham.

Chris Laurence, David Pryse, Kristen Kane and veteran Mikey Hole were all on target as FC Nomads beat Moreton Rangers 4-0.

Division Three
Eynsham A suffered their second defeat of the season, going down 2-1 to Tower Hill. The hosts went ahead through Oli Page shortly afterwards, Tower Hill were reduced to 10 men when goal keeper, Steve Smith was drawn into a fracas and received his marching orders. However this only galvanised the visitors who hit back through Jack Simpson and Lewis Bartlett (from the spot) to earn the win.

Tower Hill Stars remain third but suffered their third defeat after going down 3-1 to a resolute Corinthians side. Lee Travers scored for the hosts but a Frank Webb hat trick saw Corinthians take all three points.

Wootton had a field day against Bampton United Reserves, coming out 9-1 winners. Jon Hold and Fraser Scott each scoured a four-timer with Rob Alexander nabbing the other. Danny O’Shea’s goal was scant consolation for the visitors.

Division Four
Charlbury Reserves remain top of Division Four at Christmas after a resounding 6-0 win over Brize Norton Reserves. Martin Grimsley rolled back the years and banged in a hat trick adding to goals from Sam Cleaver, Shaun Godfrey and Jack Mahoney.

FC Hollybush Reserves continued their winning streak and are level on points with Charlbury after defeating Stonesfield Reserves 3-1. Arron Hyatt scored twice with Darren Smith getting the third.

Sam Murphy scored a hat trick as Aston Reserves beat Wootton Reserves 4-2. James Flemming got the other with Jack Pease and Michael Sheers netting for Wootton.

Kingham AB Reserves and hosts Eynsham SSC Reserves were involved in an epic tussle, as they ding-donged merrily to a 6-4 score line with the visitors emerging victorious. Darren Mobey bagged a hat trick for Eynsham, with Lee Parsons getting the other. However Eddie Webb replied with a hat trick for Kingham, adding to goals from Liam Barnes (2) and Dan Lay.

Wychwood Forest Reserves went down 4-2 to Chadlington Reserves. Charlie White (2), Miguel Alturas and James Hawley were on the score sheet for Chad with Jay Whelan replying for Wychwood.
