First defeat for Premier Division Leaders

Premier Division

RAF Brize Norton suffered a surprise defeat as they went down 3-1 to Hanborough on Saturday. This was the league leaders first reverse of the season. Both sides were missing key personnel bit it was Hanborough who managed it best, with Dan Grenaway orchestrating things from the sidelines. Jack Simmonds, Travis O'Connor and Alpha Breezy Kamara were the home sides scorers with the evergreen Dave Wanless replying.

Carterton United had the chance to cut the gap at the top to 3 points but they were surprisingly defeated 2-1 at Charlbury. A late flurry of activity saw Martin Nutt and Sam Lewis net for Charlbury and Conner Townsend grabbing the consolation.

At the foot of the table, Milton and Stonesfield played out at entertaining 2-2 draw although the result will not help either of them in their quest to avoid the drop.
Ryan Oliver and Will Collett were the home sides scorers and Will Barker and Jacob Oliver replied.

Division One

Tower Hill maintained top spot in the Division 1 table as they defeated Heyford Athletic by the odd goal in 3. Tom Costley scored his 5th goal of the campaign and Jack Scott his 4th, for the visitors, Robert Gosling was on target.

Witney Royals climbed into 2nd spot as they defeated Spartan Rangers 4-1 in a local derby. Corey DOnohoe made his first appearence of the season for Royals and was immediately on target to add to strikes from Dave Cross and 2 from Daniel Milner. Joshua Pritchett netted for Spartan who remain winless at the foot of the table.

After starting the season so well, Chadlington suffered their 4th straight league defeat going down 3-0 at Combe. Luke Barton hit a brace and Alex Michaels the other,

In contrast to Chad, Ducklington are going the other way and they extended their winning run with a 4-1 win over Cassington. Manager George Townsend lead the way with a hat trick with Ady Kew getting the other. Thomas Smith scored a last minute consolation for Cassy who have now lost their last 3.

Divison Two

It's as you were at the top of Division 2 as the top sides all recorded wins,
Leaders Moreton Rangers thumped Chadlington Res 8-0 A hat trick from Lee Brooks took his total for the season to 18 from just 8 games. Kieron Harte hit 2 and there was a goal apiece for Javan Nurse, Ben Shurmer and Callum Peters. Chad did not help their cause by have 2 sent off.

As has been there want this season, Wootton conceded the first goal before beating Milton Res 3-1. Manager Dan Hooton put the visitors in front but a double from Lee Spencer and one from Callum Flannery was enough to keep Wootton on Moreton's coat tails.

CHQ are 5 points back in 3rd place after thumping a lacklustre Witney Royals Res 8-1. Royals did not help their causes by having to use a sub keeper as regular number 1 Sam Taylor was inflicted by that rare illness of 'not beingg able to see properly as absolutely shit faced still from the night before'. A hat trick from Fabian Daniels was the highlight for CHQ.

Faringdon Town Development are up to 4th place after seeing of an under strength Freeland 3-2. Sam Gorham grabbed a couple of Wordies for Faringdon with skipper Martyn Gatehouse heading home the other. Rob Frost grabbed both of Freeland's goals but the home keeper Richard Simpson had a superb game and his brilliance kept the score down.

Division 3

Deer Park Rangers maintained their perfect record in Division 3, but it was only a Solitary James Scott goal that saw off the spirited challenge of Heyford Res.

The surprise package of the division this season are undoubtedly Carterton Town. After struggling over the last 3 seasons, things are starting to click and they climbed into 3rd spot by defeating 2nd place Aston Res 4-1. Joshua Henry scored a couple to add to goals from Travis Cozier and James Harvey. Alex Murrell netted Aston's consolation,

At the foot of the table, Leafield Res gained their 1st point of the campaign amongst the scores was 58 year old John Forteath - There is hope for us all.
