Premier Division
‘Luke Ripps Rangers Apart’
Witney Royals bagged their second win of the season with a comfortable 4-0 win over Spartan Rangers. Luke Rippington was influencial in the win getting on the score sheet along with Matt Thompson, Tom Kempster and Phil Simmonds got the goals.

Chipping Norton Town remain top after a narrow 2-1 win over Ducklington. Ian Peedle scored for the hosts but a brace from Gary Smith ensured the visitors took all three points.

Second placed West Witney lost ground on the leaders after being held to a 2-2 draw with Carterton A. Luke Simmonds and Jason Lonsdale scored for Carterton but goals from Karl Dodds and Danny King shared the spoils.

Charlbury Town went down 3-0 to Hailey. The game was poised evenly at 0-0 when Town’s keeper, Tom Such was sent off for a professional foul on Joel King. The penalty was converted with Dave Brown, Jack Bennett and Craig Mays all getting on the score sheet.

Aston Leach (2), Scott Akers, Dan Smith and Liam Harris all scored in Hanborough’s 5-2 win over North Leigh A. Graig Greenhalgh and Lewis Hathaway replied for North Leigh.

Division One
‘Montgomery Spot-On for Stanton’
Stanton Harcourt’s goal keeper, Chris Montgomery was again the hero, as the division leaders held second placed Aston to a 0-0 draw. In a game of few chances, Montgomery, saved a Joe Wood penalty; his second in two games, ensuring Stanton would remain top of the table.

The only negative was the head injury received by Stanton’s David Cooper who was knocked unconscious after receiving an accidental the kick to the head. Thankfully, after hours at the hospital he was released unscathed.

Chadlington picked up their third win of the season with a 6-1 thrashing of Kingham AB. George Slatter grabbed a hat-trick in the process with Martin Plumbridge and Richard Ingram getting the others. Matt Smith replied in vain for Kingham.

FC Nomads showed their bouncebackability from last weeks defeat to soundly beat FC Mills 6-0. Chris Lawrence bagged a brace with James Hookins, Chris Johnson and Darren Craig finding the back of the net. Even veteran Mike Hole was able to get in on the act with a rare strike.

Freeland A went down 2-0 to local rivals Hanborough Reserves. Joey Burgess and Glenn Willett with the strikes.

Division 2
‘Ayre we go again’
John Ayres returned to his goal-scoring best as he hit a hat-trick in Eynsham SSC’s impressive 5-1 win over Middle Barton. Ashley Scearce replied for the visitors but further goals from Mike Barker and Matt Walker settled the tie.

Dean Matthews and Matthew Mills each bagged a brace in Carterton Puma’s 5-0 win over Bampton. Kyle Drummond got the 5th as Bampton drew a blank.

Milton took all three points courtesy of their 4-2 win over Charlbury Town Reserves. Robert Watts scored twice with Ali Laing and Harry Lake adding. John Webb and Kevin Duester replied for Town.

The points were shared at North Leigh B where they played out a 1-1 draw with Combe. Justin Keyani and Josh Posey scored for North Leigh and Combe respectively.

West Witney Reserves made it two wins from two as they beat Witney Wanderers 3-1. Despite having the lions share of possession and chances, the visitors went down to goals from Charlie Forkner, Matt Townsend and an Own Goal. Tom Gregory scored Wanderers consolation.

Division 3
Spartan beaten around by Bush as Joe grabs a Hatt-full
Joe Hatt grabbed a four-goal haul in FC Hollybush’s superb 9-0 win over Spartan Rangers Reserves. Bradley Olive hit a brace with Paul Dray, Luke Champion and Leigh Travers completing the rout.

Sam Philpott went two better hitting a superb six-timer in Chipping Norton Town Reserves 10-1 demolition of Freeland B. Keiron Watts (2), Justin Morgan and Warren Holland got the others as Tom Mason grabbed a scant consolation goal for the visitors.

Carterton Rangers continued their perfect start to the season with a 5-0 win over local rivals, Carterton B. Steven Read picked up a four-goal haul with Tom Clapham getting the other.

Alex Timms scored for Aston Reserves who went down 3-1 to Kirtlington. Lewis Charlett, Andy Gillespie and Steve Foreman scored the important goals for the visitors.

Arron Mullis, Peter Hanley and Mykel Ryan were all on target for Minster Lovell Reserves as they beat Brize Norton Reserves 3-0.

Tackley and Wootton drew 2-2 in their local derby. Oscar Triggs and Chris Betreen scored for the hosts with Jacob Cook and John Holder replying for Wootton.

Division 4
I'd 8-2 be a Spartan fan!
Bampton United ran out 8-2 winners over Spartan Rangers A. Ryan Southwood netted a treble with Nathan Beckett (2), Sid Ashley, Conor O’Shea and Lloyd Hancock getting the others. Strikes from Steve Thomas and James McKay were scant consolation.

Eynsham Sports Reserves narrowly lost out 4-3 to Greystones FC. Jason Smith, Kevin Webb and Leigh Parsons scored for the hosts but a Rocky Burton treble, including 1 penalty, and a strike from Ben Godfrey stole all three points for the visitors.

Kingham AB Reserves took all three points as they beat Chadlington Reserves 2-1. Luke Herbert and Richard French were on target for the hosts with Daniel Townsend replying for Chadlington.

The points were shared at Burwell Meadow as Witney Royals A were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Hollybush Reserves. Silas Gray put Royals ahead but an equaliser from Angelo Aniello in the second half leveled the tie.

Corinthans took all three points after their 5-4 tussle with Wychwood Foresters. The visitors raced to a 4-1 half time lead with Darren Mobey (2), Ian Carey (2) and Frank Webb getting the goals.

The hosts clawed their way back into the game in the second half with goals from Simon Gibbs, Jason Hornsby, Ben Powell, and Dave Lydiard but it was not enough.
