Jack Busby Cup
Carterton Town B eased through to the semi-final of the Jack Busby Cup after a convincing 6-0 win over Wootton Reserves. Dan Sollis and Craig Isle each bagged a brace with Matt Herbert and Steve Jenkins getting the others.

Joining them in the semi’s are Brize Norton who saw off Witney Royals Reserves 4-1. Loyd Edwards scored for the hosts but goals from Hook 2, Pepper and Duffy saw the visitors through to the next round.

John Fathers Junior Shield – 3rd Round

Joel King scored an amazing 8 goals in Hailey’s 9-2 thrashing of KEA of the Banbury and District League. King picked banged in two perfect hat-tricks (Scoring with the left foot, right foot and head), and two to spare as the W&D side blazed a trail through to the next round. Luke Manning was on hand to net the 9th goal.

Tony McLemen picked up a four-goal-haul in West Witney’s 8-1 rout against Barton United. Ian Sparkes, Kev Lewis, Carl Austin and Stefan Reed were also on the score sheet.

Chadlington are also through as they beat Swis, 7-0. George Slatter scored a hat-trick with Wiffen 2, Martin Plumbridge and Jeffries also adding.

Spartan Rangers are also in the hat for the next round as they saw off Highfield Old Boys 4-0. Matt Townsend hit two with Jamie Timms and Donovan Henderson also netting.

Craig McCallum Scored twice in Charlbury Town’s 3-1 win over George. Stef Lang scored the other.

Witney Royals are also through to the next round as they saw off Hornton 2-1. Chris Thompson and Luke Lewis-Rippington were on target.

Tom Lewis and Scott Akers were both on the score sheet as Hanborough saw off Heyford 2-0

Billy Hales, Same Giles and John Dover all scored as Carterton Rangers beat Bampton United 3-0.

Martin Bull scored for Minster Lovell in their 2-1 defeat to Carterton Town A. Jason Trinder and Jason Lonsdale had earlier given the visitors the lead.

Witney & District teams that weren’t so fortunate include Brize Norton. They took a 3-0 lead into the break against Ashton Villa with goals coming from Bartek Lachowicz, Pawel Bronk and Sam Rowe, however, a second half capitulation resulted in a 5-3 defeat.

Eynsham went down 3-2 to Souldern. Dan Johnson and John Ayres with the goals.

Dan Davies scored for Kingham who were defeated 2-1 by Great Milton.

North Leigh met their Waterloo as they were dumped out of the cup 3-2 by ABBA. Tom Radbjorn and Paul O’Hare’s goals were not enough.

Premier Division
In the day’s only Premier Division match, Chipping Norton Town defeated Aston 3-2. Rhys Bayliss (2) and Kieron Watts scored the telling goals for the visitors with Ryan Hewer and Graham Carters goals for Aston just falling short.

Division One
Hailey Reserves’ fine form continued as they beat Freeland 2-0. Mo Semlali and Dan King each scored moving Hailey back to the top of Division One.

Bourton Rovers were also in good fettle as they demolished FC Nomads 6-0. Stephane Ternier (2), Lee MOsson, Matt Winter, Sam Mattock and Silas Orr scored the goals.

The points were shared when Hanborough Reserves met Carteron Pumas after a 1-1 draw with Tom Kernahan and Chris Flood scoring respectively.

Division Two
Combe moved to the top of Division Two after a telling 4-1 defeat of fellow title contenders FC Hollybush. Ethan Penny scored a hat-trick with Steve Smith getting the other. Kev Davies scored the visitors lone reply.

Witney Wanderers keep the pressure on the top two with a fine 4-0 win over FC Mills. Bernie Crumlish banged in three with Marcello Guitherme netting the 4th.

An Injury ravaged Finstock side picked up a well-deserved 3 points with a 3-1 defeat of Bampton Town. Tom Gregory scored twice with Lee Travers also netting.

Division Three

Wootton picked up 3 points after a 6-2 win over Bourton Rovers Reserves. Charlie Bough scored a hat trick with Mark Rawlings, Graham Berry and Tom Faulkner adding.
Chipping Norton Town Reserve beat Kingham Reserves 4-1. Sam Philpotts, Mark Corbett, James O'Hara and Johnny Dunns were all on target.

Middle Barton had to share the spoils with Minster Lovell Reserves drawing 2-2. Ashley Scearce and George Wood scored for the hosts with Paul Wiggins getting both for Minster.

Ducklington A picked up a 4-1 win over Charlbury Town Reserves. Pat Brown (2), Stu Cutts and Jordan Saverton scored for Duck with Steve Pearce hitting back for Charlbury.

Division Four
Tower Hill picked up another 3 points, this time courtesy of a 4-0 win over Bampton United Reserves. Goal machine Jamie Goodwin grabbed another two with Edd Dunn and Jesse Lawrence getting the others.

FC Hollybush Reserves winning streak was brought to an end by Eynsham SSC Reserves. Kevin Webb and Darren Mobey’s goals both came in the second half with Dave Elliot getting one back for the Bush.

Spartan Rangers A went down 3-2 to an unpredictable Aston Reserves. John Oswald and veteran Andy Sigsworth scored for the hosts but goals from Matt Gardener (2) and Paddy Collett secured the points for the visitors.

Wychwood Forest’s revival continued with a 4-1 win over Chadlington Reserves. John Nicholson and Ben Powell both grabbed doubles with Lee Woodward scoring for Chad.
