Match Reports - Week 13

Premier Division
Carterton Town A maintained their good form at the top of the Premier Division after a comfortable 5-1 win over Ducklington. A Michael Duerden hat trick was the highlight of themach with Jason Lonsdale and Liam Elliot getting the others. Jamie Austin Scored Ducklington’s lone reply.

West Witney continued their climb up the table and moved into second place courtesy of a 2-0 win over the visiting Hanborough. Carl Austin and Chris Hirons were on target in the win.

Matt Jeffrey (2) and Rhys Warner-Carter both found the back of the net for third placed Chipping Norton Town’s 3-1 win over Brize Norton. Pavel Bronk scored for Brize.

Hosts, Charlbury town salvaged a point in their 2-2 draw with Witney Royals. The visitors took a 2-0 lead through Jamie Kennedy and Ryan Colleton but goals from Joe Brook and Nick Acock brought parity to the score line.

Division One
It’s tight at the top of Division One, however, Spartan Rangers gave themselves a 3 point lead courtesy of a 3-1 win over Hailey Reserves. Kristian Collis scored for the hosts but goals from Charlie Waite (2) and Matt Howard earned all three points for Spartan.

Combe made light work of Kingham as they handed out an 8-0 thrashing. Ethan Penney and Chris Betreen each bagged a hat trick with Simon Gale picking up a brace.

An unanswered Justin Timms brace was enough for North Leigh to take all three points in their 2-0 match away to FC Hollybush.

Aston took a point from their 2-2 game against Chadlington. Ross Flemming and Graham Carter were on target for the hosts with Martin Plumbridge and Dan Cleevely netting for Chad.

Eynsham SSC began to claw their way out of the relegation mire, thanks to a 5-3 win over FC Nomads. Jonno Woodward, Chris Lawrence and Danny Collins all found the back of the net for Nomads, but a John Ayres hat trick and two from Matt Walker settled the tie in favour of visiting Eynsham.

Division Two
It’s still a close contest at the top of Division Two as the top four sides all picked up three points at the weekend. Leaders Stonesfield ran out easy winners 7-1 against a struggling FC Mills. The goals were shared amongst Warren Holland (2) Tom Green, Chris Jordan, Gary Mceachran, Jordan Newman and George Redknapp. Steve Lyon scored the consolation goal for Mills.

Kirtlington, in second, made light work of Hanborough Reserves with a 5-1 win. Jake East (2), Bruce Wilson, Shane Probitts and Lawrence Brock were all on target for the hosts with Chris Thatcher replying for Boro’.

Third placed Carterton Town B picked up their 3 points after a narrow 3-2 win over Witney Wanderers. Stu Morrison and Tim Senior netted for the hosts but goals from Tom Perry, Thomas BEzdecny and Alan Andrew secured the points for Carterton.

Ducklington Reserves leapfrogged visiting Milton into fourth place after handing out a 2-1 win to the visitors. Dave Oliver and Yasim Elhabharaki found the back of the net for Duck with Pip Benfield replying for Milton.

Division Three
Spartan Rangers Reserves closed the gap on leaders Ducklington A to 6 points (and two games in hand) as they ended Minster Lovell Reserves good run with a 2-1 defeat. Gareth Thomas and Harry Thomson scored for Spartan with David Souch netting for Minster.

Joe Brown, Luke James and Alex Stubbs all scored in Tower Hill’s 3-0 win over Middle Barton.

Corinthians closed the gap on the top four after a 5-3 win over Brize Norton Reserves. Dan Smith and Frank Webb eached bagged a brace with Luke Cuthebert netting the5th. Robbert Duffy (2) and Ben Bourton’s goals for Brize were not quite enough.

Witney Royals Reserves picked up another point in their fight against the drop but it should have been 3 after they squandered a 2-0 lead against bottom side, Bourton Rovers Reerves. Mikey Piper and Max Lucas gave the hosts the lead but a double from Andy Coleman secured a point.

Division Four
Eynsham A opened up a 3-point gap at the top of Division Four after a narrow 3-2 win over Milton Reserves. Toby Harrison-Turner scored a brace for the hosts but Jordan Lyne, Olie Page and an own goal all contributed to an Eynsham victory.

Kingham Reserves shocked visiting promotion hopefuls Charlbury Town Reserves by beating them 5-3. A Liam Barnes and Tom Butler each scored twice with Ian Widdows getting the other. Jachob Hancock (2) and Gary Jones hit back for Chalbury.

Surprise package, Wychwood Forest continued their good for and moved into fourth place after a comfortable 6-0 mauling of Spartan Rangers A. Callum Kirk (2), Ryan Clements, Darren Davenport, John Wood and Ben Powel all scored in the win.

Bampton United Reserves beat Chadlington Reserves 3-2 with goals coming from Matt Curtis, Jake Pritchard and Tom Madden. Callum Jeffries and Matt North replied for Chad.

It was a ding-dong mid-table battle in as hosts Eynsham SSC Reserves went down 5-4 to Aston Reserves. The lead changed hands several times with Dan Johnson (2), Shaun Rowbotham and Graham Ciudiskis all scoring for Eynsham, but goals from Joe Crawley (2), Matt Jamison, Ian Wells and Charlie Fisher settling the tie in Astons favour.

Hollybush Reserves poor form returned as they went down 5-0 to Wootton Reserves. Fyn Saunders (2), Sam Benwell and Callum Davies all got on the score sheet with Ryan Royal completing the rout.
