Premier Division
Things got a lot tighter at the top of the Premier Division at the weekend as leaders Ducklington were held to a 1-1 draw with Hailey. Luke Manning scored the goal for the hosts with leaading scorer Jack Morton equalising.

Current Champions West Witney moved level at the top, separated only by goal difference after they beat Hanborough 5-2. The goals were shared amongst, Ian Sparkes, Chris Bowles, Shaun Rayfield, David Craig and Chris Hirons. Mark Stinchcombe and Aston Leach replied for Boro’.

Charlbury missed the chance to go joint top on 19 points as they were held to a 2-2 draw with Chadlington. Craig McCallum and Dan Bott scored for the hosts but a brace from Steve Hunt for Chad levelled the tie.

Chipping Norton beat Witney Royals 2-0 with goals coming from Kieran Watts and Reece Bayliss, whilst Minster Lovell went down 2-1 to Carterton. Martin Bull scored for the hosts but goals from Chris MacNeil and Dan Stanley earned all three points for the visitors.

Division One
Brize Norton take over at the top of Division One after a 7-0 thrashing of Freeland. Rob Marsh and Matt Howard each bagged a brace with Dan Frizell, Bartek Lachowicz and Pawel Bronk all getting one a-piece.

Brize Norton’s rise to the top was at the expense of Hailey Reserves, whose great form was halted courtesy of a 3-0 defeat to North Leigh. The hosts took all three points with goals from Josh Russell, Darren Tasker and Justin Timms.

Hanborough Reserves remain rooted to the foot of the table, still without a win as they went down 4-0 to Kingham. All the goal came in the first half as Darryl Middleton, Ash Thornton, Liam Barnes and Gareth Price all got on the score sheet.

Eynsham SSC and FC Nomads will both rue missed chances as they fought out a 2-2 draw. Darren Craig and Nial Lynch put Nomads 2-0 up at the break, but a brace from John Ayres in the second half brought parity to the score line. The point won’t appease either side as they slip a little closer to the drop zone.

Division Two
It was a battle if the promoted sides as Kirtlington faced FC Hollybush at the top of Division Two. Honours were even after 90 minutes with the sides drawing 1-1. Callum Emmet scored for Kirtlington with Lee Keys replying for Hollybush.

Combe took advantage of the draw in style as they smashed 8 past Milton in an 8-1 win. Simon Gale scored a hat trick with Peter Searle 2, Roger Moss, Ethan Penny and Dan Keitley all finding the back of the bet. Combe host leaders Hollybush this weekend.

Witney Wanderers edged a little closer to the top after a 3-0 win over AC Finstock. Sam King, Daryl Johns and James Basson all scored for the visitors.

Carterton Rangers ran out 6-2 winners over Ducklington Reserves. Jordan Walker and Jason Hirschfield scored for the hosts, but a Chris Balfe hat trick alone was enough for the points. However Billy Hales and brothers James and Jon Dover all added to the score line.

… and at the foot of the table, after 10 attempts, Witney Royals Reserves finally picked up their first points of the season. They did so with a 4-2 win over Bampton Town. Richard Simms (2), Mikey Piper and; after recovering from a broken wrist earlier in the season, Will Heys all got on the score sheet. Ollie Hawkins and Matty Lee scored for the visitors.

Division Three
Wootton grab the headlines in Division Three after a 12-0 demolition of Charlbury Town Reserves who were reduced to 10 players after picking up an injury 10 minutes in. However Mark Rawlings lead from the front banging in a four-timer. Charlie Brough and Dave Oliver each also picked up a hat trick with Kenny Rawlings and Graham Berry getting the others.

Leaders, Carterton Town B narrowly edged their match with Brize Norton Reserves winning 4-3. Dan Sollis scored a treble for the hosts with Ryan Healing getting the other. Rob Brown, Paul Winch, and Stu Read’s goals for Brize were not quite enough.

Second placed Minster Lovell Reserves lost ground on the leaders after going down 3-1 to Spartan Rangers Reserves. Spartan, who moved joint second after the win, scored through Steve Wright (2) and Ben Allen. Paul Wiggins replied for Minster.

Chipping Norton Town Reserves beat Kingham Reserves 4-3. Josh Hornsby, Ryan Barros and Ted Rob scored for the hosts but goals from Dan Grimes, Justin Morgan, Sam Philpott and Chris Byford edged the tie in favour of the visitors.

Division Four
The result of the day from Division four came as high-flyers Corinthians were given a footballing lesson by mid-table FC Hollybush Reserves and soundly beaten 7-2. Mis-firing Corinthians took an early lead through Dan Smith, but the hosts bounced back in style with goal from Kevin Davies who scored a hat trick on his debut, and a brace a-piece from Dan Bilton and Doug Mulvihill. Frank Webb scored the other for the visitors with Smith missing the chance for another from right underneath the cross bar.

Tower Hill returned to the top with a fine 5-0 win over third placed Spartan Rangers A. Jamie Goodwin picked up another two with Adam Bolley, Ian Wright and Connor Tinsley getting the others.

Aston Reserves look to get their promotion run back on track with a 4-2 win over Wootton Reserves. Phil Isle (2), Phil Caswell and Dan Isherwood scored for Aston with Dean Waskewski netting a double for the visitors.

Wychwood Forest picked up another convincing win, this time a 4-1 defeat of Milton Reserves. Scott Read, Damien Kesuski, Ben Powell and Tom Nicholson were all on target for the hosts with Andy Barnes scoring Milton’s consolation.

The points were shared as Chadlington Reserves and Bampton United Reserves drew 1-1. Jordan Godfrey and Dan Penthead scored respectively for Chad and Bampton.
