Premier Division
The opening round of fixtures in the 2015-16 Witney & District campaign has already produced potentially the shock of the season with Premier new boys, Bourton Rovers thumping current Champions, Carterton Town A 8-0. Adam Webley, Chris Mills and Ben Ward each bagged a brace with Jasper Smith and Kevin Hunt completing the rout.

West Witney aimed to regain their Premier Division crown with an opening 3-1 win over Chipping Norton Town. Matt Jeffries scored for the hosts. But goals from Chris Hirons, Dave Craig and Mike Duerden settled the tie in favour of the visitors.

Division One
Warren Austin hit a hat trick in Aston’s comfortable 7-1 win over Carterton Rangers. James Fleming, Benji Sunblad, Mike Hedges and Joe Allinson all added to rout with Jonny Dover scoring Rangers lone consolation.

Last season Kirtlington were two Divisions below Brize Norton, but now sit 8 places above after their 4-1 win over their hosts. Jake East netted a hat trick against Brize, who relegated form the Premier Division at the end of last season. Pawel Bronk pulled one back for Brize, before Anthony Brooker scored the 4th goal for Kirtlington.

Eynsham SSC opened their account with a 4-3 win over FC Hollybush. John Ayres, Ash Bowerman, Nick Edwards and a Ben Reynolds own goal all contributed to Eynsham’s tally with debutants, Brad Bryant (2) and Richard Williams hitting the back of the net for the visitors.

Division Two
Last season, Kingham won only 2 out of their 20 league games which saw them relegated, but it took just one this season as they secured a comfortable 4-0 win over Ducklington Reserves. Jack Aitken (2), Ryan Barrass and Gareth Price all got on the score sheet for the hosts.

Bampton United beat Milton by the odd goal in 5 with the hosts earning a 3-2 win. Alex Ayres and Roger James scored for the visitors, but goals from Nathan Beckett (2) and Carl Pritchard earned the points for the hosts.

The points were shared at Witney Wanderers where the hosts drew 3-3 with FC Nomads. Andrew Thompson, Bernie Crumlish and Daryl John all scored for Wanderers with Dave Pryse Josh Truby and Chris Laurence all netting for Nomads.

Division Three
Tower Hill Stars, rose from the ashes of a triumphant and undefeated Tower Hill Reserves team last year. They continued in the same vein as their previous incarnation with a 3-0 win over Enstone. Richard Meredith, along with Dean and Craig Mays all found the back of the net for the visitors earning all 3 points.

Witney Royals Reserves also got their campaign off to a winning start but were made to work for the points in a 6-5 win over FC Mills. The goals were flying in with Ryan Cummins and Martin Edwards each netting a blistering long range effort. Jamie Kennedy, Mikey Piper, a Mills own goal and a second Cummins strike completed Royals’ tally, and was just enough for the win despite a Jamie Flemming hat trick and goals from Stu Cutts and Dan Godden.

Corinthians also have 3 points on the board after their 3-2 win, away at Bourton Rovers Reserves. Ross Temple-Richmod and Jack Galpin each scored for the hosts but goals from Frank Webb, Luke Cuthbert and Sam Cairns was enough to secure the win for the visitors.

A last minute Josh Hunt goal earned hosts, Middle Barton a point in their 4-4- draw with Eynsham A. That strike, gave Hunt his double with the other Middle Barton goals coming from George Wood and Jack Ely. However, Eynsham earned a share of the spoils with goals from Jordan Lyne, Zac Sheffield, Declan Green and Oli Page.

Division Four
A re-born FC Hollybush Reserves and Eynsham SSC Reserves each picked up a point in their 3-3 draw. Darren Smith banged in a hat trick for the hosts, but goals from Darren Moby, Shaun Rowbotham and Jamie Hewitt gave parity to the score line at full time.

Milton Reserves sit atop the early Division Four table after they beat Spartan Rangers A 2-1. Louis Breaks and Dan Hootton scored the goals for Milton with Matt Townsend replying for Spartan.
