Witney and District Junior Cup

Bampton United eased into the next round of the Junior Cup with an 11-1 win over Chipping Norton Reserves, with Bampton’s Jake Pritchard scoring 5 of the 11. Daniel Paintin and Sid Ashley also had a hand in the goals with a brace each, Connor O’Shea and Lloyd Hancock with a goal a piece.

John Fathers Oxfordshire Junior Shield

Carterton Town A found themselves in the semi-finals of the Junior Shield with a 4-1 win away at St Ebbes. Mike Bolt, Dave Wanless, Olly Bush and Tommy Burns all found themselves on the scoresheet.

Premier Division

Spartan Rangers moved up to fourth with an impressive 4-1 win away at Chipping Norton. Josh Hunt was on target for the home side but Dave Cross and Henry Clarke’s two goals each sealed all three points for Spartan.

Nathan Kelly’s double inspired Kirtlington to a thrilling 4-3 win over Eynsham SSC. Ross Gray and Kaylum Patterson also scored for Kirtlington, Andy Stratfords double and John Ayres solo effort were only a consolation.

Hanborough kept the pressure on league leaders Charlbury in their narrow 2-1 win over Combe. Patch Gardener scored for the visitors but goals from Dan Haggie and Rob Keylock were enough for the Hanborough win.

Minster Lovell’s recent revival continued as they comfortably beat Hailey 4-1, to move up to 8th in the table. Perry Tinson scored Hailey’s only goal. Gary Mitchell, George Reynolds and Sam Wrights double secured the win for Minster.

Division One

FC Hollybush dropped points for only the second time this season as they were held away at Aston, drawing 2-2, despite Dan Bishop’s double for Hollybush. Lee Beer and Reece Wain with the goals for Aston.

Carterton Rangers moved within 4 points of FC Hollybush in their 5-0 win over Chadlington. Adam Lee, Mykel Ryan, Dan Hall, Carl Shirley and Ben Pearce with the goals.

Chris Laurence’s hattrick helped FC Nomads to their sixth win of the season in their 5-2 win at home to Stonesfield. Charlie Nelson and Dan Garlick were also on target for Nomads, Paul Penney and David Michoo for Stonesfield.

Division Two

Nothing could split Spartan Rangers Reserves and Witney Wanderers this week, as their game finished 1-1. Matt Townsend scored for Spartan, Tom Ackling for Wanderers.

FC Ascott got back to winning ways with a brilliant 4-2 win away at Tower Hill Stars. Craig Mays and Kev Davies scored for the home side but goals from Steve Harries, Kai Merritt, Tom Cairns and Josh Korik sealed the win for Ascott.

Division Three

Jordan Brooks and Brennan Marles were on target for Chalrbury Town Reserves in their 2-0 win at home to Minster Lovell Reserves.

Bletchington fell to defeat for the first time this season, at the hands of Ducklington Reserves, as they lost 4-2. Paul O’Neil and Jimmy Deabill scored for Bletch but goals from Courage Nyenya, George Townsend, Rory Dunseath and Charlie Morgan won Duck all three points.

Mikey Piper’s doubled helped Witney Royals Reserves to their first win in 7 games as they beat FC Hollybush Reserves 3-1. Stewart George also scored for Royals, Richard Williams was on target for Hollybush.

Division Four

Milton Reserves moved up to third in their 2-1 win away at Brize Norton Reserves. Scott Peaper scored for the home side, Stephen Pearce and James Rawlings were on target for Milton.

Combe Reserves made it 3 wins in 3 in their 4-2 win over Spartan Rangers A. Simon Gale (2), Leon Richards and Ashley Hilton were all on target for Combe. Scott Mason and Simon Atkin for Spartan.

Ben Reardon hit 5 as Siege FC put 7 past FC Ascott Reserves without reply. Karl Dodds also joined in the scoring with the other 2 goals.

Jamie Gardner also scored 5 as Stonesfield Reserves beat Eynsham Reserves 11-0. Connor Ladbrooke added a hattrick, Luke Burns a brace and Shaun Kemp with the 11th.

FC Mills kept up the pressure on the league leaders, Siege, as they smashed Wootton Reserves 6-0. Paul Read (2), Oliver Nolan, Davy Cooper, Dale Cox and Ian Parks with the goals.
