Jack Busby Cup Round One

Hailey Reserves made light work of Eynsham SSC in the Jack Busby Cup. Nick Buckingham scored a four timer in the rout with Dan Crossman, Ford Davis and Carl Russell getting the others.

Charlbury Town Reserves are through to the next round after seeing off Brize Norton Reserves 3-1. Ryan Healing, Travis Rolls and Martin Grimsley scored the winning goals with Ollie Puddle getting Brize’s consolation.

Chipping Norton Town Reserves eventually overcame Carterton B in a narrow 3-2 win. Dom Hemmings, Andy Watson and Daryl Soper scored for the visitors with Chris Jones bagging both for Carterton.

Premier Division
Haley remain top after a 3-1 defeat of Witney Royals. Joey King, Dean Mays and Danny King hit the net for Hailey with Jamie Wearing replying for Royals.

Champions Hanborough are finding the going tough suffering a second defeat already this season. North Leigh A were their enflicted the 4-3 defeat in which Declan Shephers (2), Jason Lonsdale and Gareth Beale all scored. Dan Haggie (2) and Liam Harris replied for Boro;.

Dan Moloney and Josh Harris scored the goals for Ducklington in their 2-1 win over Spartan Rangers. Pete Jenkins replied for the hosts but it was not enough for a point.

Combe picked up their first win of the season with a 3-0 defeat of Charlbury Town. Jamie Fisher, Matt Baker and Simon Gale got the goals which leaves Charlbury still pointless.

The points were shared at Carterton where the hosts drew 0-0 with visitors FC Chequers.

Division One
Leaders Chipping Norton Town played hosts to second placed West Witney in a game which finished 3-3. Chippy took a 3-0 half time lead through Craig Mackay, James Harri and Warwick Thompkins, but West Witney clawed their way back to parity with goals from Wayne Moscrop, John Fletcher and Carl Dodds.

Brize Norton move up to third place after a 2-1 win over FC Mills. Tim Senior hit the net for the hosts but Richard Taylor and Matt Howard scored the telling goals for Brize.

Honours were even as Stanton Harcourt and Hanborough Reserves played out a 2-2 draw. Scott Akers’ brace gave the visitors the lead but strikes from Lewis Hooper and George Woodcock levelled the tie.

Ducklington Reserves picked up only their third point of the season after a tough 1-1 draw with Minster Lovell. Ed Dunn gave Minster a half time lead but Luke Woodleys goal in the second half levelled the score line.

There was no separating Witney Royals Reserves and FC Nomads in during their 1-1 draw. Nathan Bowles put the hosts ahead with Steve Bircher levelling for Nomads.

Division Two
FC Chequers Reserves kept their 100% record in-tact after a 4-1 win over Bampton Town Reserves. A Double from Doug Mulvihill and strikes from Zac Caine and Abdoul Diallo put the result beyond doubt despite Dan Cartwrights earlky equaliser. Things would have been different had Bampton not missed from the spot at 2-1 down.

Freeland A made it a good week for last seasons promoted sides as they beat Witney Wanderers 3-0. George Wagerfield, Jamie Perkin and Bruno Chaves scored the important goals.

Milton also keep their 100% run going after a 2-0 win over Wootton. Graham and Pip Benfield scored the goals.

Middle Barton look to kick-start their season after a 3-0 win over Ducklington A. Fred Wilkins, Martin Kay and Ashley Scearce all found the back of the net.

Division Three
North Leigh B sit pretty at the top of Division Three after an 8-0 thrashing of FC Hollybush. New signing, Pawel Bronk grabbed a four timer with Lewis Hathaway getting himself a hat trick. Ian Quartermain scored the 8th with no reply.

Eynsham SSC Made it four wins from four games with a 3-0 victory over Witney Royals A. Matt Walker scored twice, including 1 penalty, with John Ayres getting the other.

Spartan Rangers Reserves remain third after an epic, 8-3 win over Minster Lovell Reserves. There were hat tricks for Matt Townsend and Ben Allen, and a brace for Charlie Waite. Mykel Ryan (2) and Tom Marsh replied in vain for Minster.

Gary Smith and Jamie Goodwin scored the goals in West Witney Reserves 2-0 win over Tackley who are still without a point.

Carterton Pumas continue their unbeaten run, inflicting AFC Marlborugh’s first defeat at the same time in the 4-0 win. Ryan Maddison (2), Dean Matthews and Rob Dows scored the goals.

Kingham AB Reserves beat Aston Reserves 2-0 with Matt Lane and Neil Linnington getting the goals.

Division Four
Freeland B put on yet another goal-fest as they thrashed Burford 9-0. Jason Foottit scored six of his sides haul with Matt Hardy, Jake Halsey and James Blackmore getting the others.

Carterton Rangers put on a show of their own, beating hosts, Wychwood Forest 4-0. Kevin Buckingham, James Barker, Craig Williams and Tom Clapton grabbed the goals.

Graystones picked up all three points in their narrow 3-2 win over FC Mills Reserves. Tyrone Smith’s two first half goals had given Mills the lead but Dean Lee (2) and Rocky Burton hit back to snatch the win for the hosts.

Combe Reserves and Spartan Rangers A drew 2-2. Simon Gale and Sam Hibberd scored for Combe with Jose Castro and Adam Pilcher replying for Spartan.
