Fred Ford Cup – Round 1
Nomads go mad, eliminating Burford from the Fred Ford
FC Nomads clocked up an emphatic 16-0 win over Burford in this one sided Fred Ford Cup tie. Chris Owen lead the scoring with a terrific 5-goal haul. Chris Lawrence and Mark Thomas, each bagged themselves a hat trick with Josh Truby nabbing a brace. Jono Woodward, jack Costar and even Dale Rainbow got in on the act as they cruised through to the second round.

Division Three’s Carterton Pumas knocked out Division one side Stanton Harcourt with a 1-0 win in extra time. Keiron Lace with the goal.

Jamie Kennedy scored a hat trick in Witney Royals 9-2 drubbing of AC Finstock. Danny Claridge and Jim Bauchan scored for the visitors but it was scant consolation as Gaz Nicholson, Matt Thompson, Steve Brasier and Ben Readhead finished off the tie.

A single Carl Dodds strike was enough to see West Witney through to round 2 in after their 1-0 win over North Leigh A.

Premier Division
Hailey remain top after a convincing 6-0 win over Kingham. Dean Mays scored three with Luke Manning, Dan King and Sean Evans all netted.

Ducklington lose pace with Hailey at the top after going down 2-1 to Hanborough. Craig Mays scored for the hosts but a goal apiece from Craig Johnstone and Paul Rose settled the tie.

Spartan Rangers took a point from their 1-1 draw with Chequers after gifting the visitors an early lead. Mo Semlali pounced on a mistake from the keeper only for Dave Cross to level later in the match.

Division One
Chipping Norton Town moved ahead of West Witney to the top of the table after a comfortable 5-2 win over hosts, FC Mills. Rhys Bayliss (2), Warwick Thompkins, Gareth Price and Arrun Rezzu all got on the score sheet with Nick Edwards and Rob DeBanks replying for Mills.

The points were shared at Aston where the hosts drew 2-2 with Minster Lovell. Dan Long and Ed Dunn bagged a brace for Aston and Minster respectively.

The points were also shared at Hanborough were Boro Reserves drew 1-1 with Ducklington Reserves. Scott Akers scored for the hsots with Dave Baker replying for the visitors.

Division Two
Middle Barton took all three points after a 5-0 win over Charlbury. Jack Eaglestone picked up a hat trick with Nick Pickup scoring from the spot. Shane Probitts also found the back of the net.

Freeland A beat Wootton 5-1. Adie Williams and George Wagerfield both nabbed a brace with Bruno Chaves getting the other. Jack Mort scored for Wootton.

Milton edged a narrow 2-1 win over Bampton. Pip Benfield and Jim Littlewood scored for the hosts with James O’Brien netting for Bampton.

Division Three
John Ayres hit yet another hat trick as Eynsham SSC beat Minster Lovell Reserves 4-1. Matt Walker added Eynsham’s fourth with Michael Ryan scoring for Minster.

Nathan Kelly and Andy Gillespie scored twice each in AFC Marlborough’s 6-0 win against Aston Reserves. Alex Metcalfe and Steve Foreman scored the others.

Jamie Goodwin, Josh Solomon and Josh Grant all scored for West Witney Reserves in their 3-1 win over Chipping Norton Reserves. Dom Hemmings scored the only goal for the hosts.

FC Hollybush went down 5-0 to Witney Royals A. Andy Cross (2), James Bruce (2), and Loyd Edwards all scored in the rout.

Tom Radburn scored for hosts North Leigh as they were on the wrong end of a 3-1 score line. Tom Merchant, Matt Townsend and Charlie Loalle scored for winners Spartan Rangers Reserves.

Division Four
Freeland B dished out a 10-0 thrashing to luckless and injury ravaged 10-man Eynsham SSC Reserves. Jason Foottit bagged a five-timer in the rout with Tom Mason (2), Tom Forkner and Henry Smith added with veteran Mark Venn finishing off the scoring in the last minute.

Carterton Rangers gave FC Mills a 7-0 spanking with Tom Clapham, Steffan Read and Dan Smith each bagging a brace. Carl Wingate scored the other.

Corinthians worked hard in the first half to hand out an 8-4 thrashing to Greystones in this epic match. Frank Webb scored three, with Carl Indge (2), Robert James, Mark Cornish and Darren Mobey all getting on the score sheet. Rocky Burton (3) and Dean Lee almost mounted a big enough comeback for the visitors.

Ducklington B came back from 3-0 down at half time to beat Combe Reserves 4-3. George May, Kenny Ray and Simon gale had given the visitors a seemingly unreachable lead, but goals from Ben Jackson, Sam Mazzucca, Gary Forest and John Townsend overturned the deficit.
