Frozen pitches blight Football Fixtures
Only four games survived the sudden cold snap over the weekend, with all others being called off due to the pitches being unsuitable for playing on.

In Division One, Witney Wanderers continued their good form as they beat hosts Hanborough 2-0. After a goalless first half, Nick Brown and Martin Jones scored for Wanderers to take all three points.

Two games survived the conditions in Division Two. Stanton Harcourt reached their highest ever league position, taking top spot after a 4-2 win over Two Rivers. Pawel Kulczyk and Bartek Lachwicz scored for the visitors in the first half, but a brace a piece for Dan Hackett and Martin Cripps sealed the win for Stanton, who have now won 6 out of their 7 league games.

The other Division Two match saw Spartan Rangers Reserves defeat Witney Royals Reserves 2-1. Jamie Kennedy scored for the visitors with Dan Stanley and Luke Stayt hitting the telling goals for Spartan.

John Ayres managed to warm up Division Three’s only fixture with a four goal haul in Eynsham SSC’s 4-2 win over Tackley. Mohan Ajlan and Jake Cooke hit late replies for the hosts.
