Folks, we have just had this from the FA.
After have consulted with Her Majesty’s Government in relation to the funeral arrangements of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and sporting fixtures on Saturday 17 April 2021.
As a mark of respect, we will be recommending that no football fixtures take place between 2.45pm and 4.15pm, a minute’s silence is observed before matches are played and black armbands are worn. All flags at Wembley Stadium and St. George’s Park will also fly at half-mast.
We are therefore recommending the following:
Games kick off at 1:00 or 5:00 on Saturday.
Games are played Friday Evening at 6:30
Clubs agree a time between themselves to play the game.
We will not be extended the season any further, so if you are not able to arrange another time, then a 0-0 draw will be awarded.
Please can the home side contact your opponents for Saturday asap please.
As and when you have agreed a time, please copy Ralph Davies, Shaun Rowbotham and myself into an e mail.
