John Fathers Oxfordshire Junior Shield

FC Ascott made their way into the second round of the John Fathers Oxfordshire Junior Shield with a 6-3 win against FC Nomads. Steve Harries scored 4 of the 6 with Ashley Davies and Jack Gibson joining in. Chris Laurence, Daz Craig and Dave Pryse hit back for Nomads.

FC Mills suffered their first defeat of the season with a 2-0 loss at home to AFC Banbury, in the cup.

Fred Ford Cup

Premier side Eynsham SSC suffered their second consecutive 9-0 defeat, in the Fred Ford Cup against Division One FC Hollybush. Dan Bishop and Bradley Bryant both got a hattrick, Alan Rodgers with a brace and Steve Holder with his solo goal saw Hollybush through to the third round.

Premier Division

Carterton Town A got back to winning ways with a 5-2 win over bottom of the table Witney Royals. Hardy Edwards and Sam Britnell scored for the visitors but Tommy Burns, Dave Wanless, Steve Freeman, Olly Bush and Barry Bebenham replied for Carterton.

Hanborough kept their 100% record going with a 4-1 win over Charlbury Town. Jack Morton got his 7th of the season whilst Joey Burgess, Craig Johnson and Ian Steele all joined in the scoring. Craig McCallum with the consolation for Charlbury.

Joey Lee and two for Kieran Watts saw Chipping Norton move up to third with a 3-2 victory away at Combe. Ethan Penney scored both for Combe.

Kirtlington continued their good start to life in the Prem with a 4-0 win at home to Hailey. Shane Probitts with two, Sam Fowler and Joe Goodgame with the goals.

An Ian Sparkes brace helped Minster Lovell to their first point of the season in a 2-2 draw with Spartan Rangers. Charlie Waite and a well hit free kick from David Cross hit back for Spartan.

Division One

Stonesfield started their league season with a 4-1 defeat away to Aston. Dave Rabbich, Jamie Kennedy, Mike Hedges and Matt Smith each with a goal for Aston, Tim Wyatt’s solo goal was just a consolation for Stonesfield.

Carterton Rangers made it three wins in three with a 3-0 victory over in-form Bampton United. Billy Evans, Jack Barker and Mykel Ryan with the goals.

Ducklington suffered their fourth defeat of the season with a 3-1 defeat at home to Chadlington. Two for new signing Matt Chadwick and a goal from Ashley Hughes gave Chad their first points of the season. Callum Mutch scored for Ducklington.

Moreton Rangers also suffered their four defeat with a 3-1 loss away to Milton. Jim Littlewood, Jon Chapman and James Beaney all netted for Milton. James Larner scored Moretons second goal of the season.

Division Two

Sam Wright, Mark Orpwood, Dan Hill and Rob Styles helped Hailey Reserves to their first win of the season a 4-2 home win against Chipping Norton Reserves. Matt Smith and Dan Scarsbrook with the Chippy goals.

Witney Wanderers also got their first win of the season away at Hanborough Reserves with a convincing 3-1 win. Stu Morrison, Tom Lee and Callum Read with the goals for Wanderers, Matt Carter for Hanborough.

Middle Barton climbed up to third as substitute Paul Kay put two past Spartan Rangers Reserves in their 2-0 win.

Tower Hill joined rivals Tower Hill Stars on 9 points with a 7-0 hammering against Brize Norton. Jack Scott with a hattrick, Luke Bolley with two, Adam Bolley and James Scott with the others. Is this already becoming a two horse race?

Division Three

One for Charlie King and three for Frank Webb saw Corintians to their first win of the season against bottom of the table Bampton United Reserves in a 4-0 win.

Charlbury Town Reserves continued their fine start to the season with a 2-0 away win against FC Hollybush Reserves. Goals from Mark Clifton and Damian Corbin. Charlbury still yet to concede.

Minster Lovell Reserves and Aston Reserves shared the points in a 3-3 thriller. David Souch, Martin Bull and Charlie McCulloch with the goals for Minster. A Jack Green penalty and goals from Ryan Lewis and Matt Wood for Aston.

Bletchington made it four wins in four with a 4-2 win away at Witney Royals Reserves. Dean Treadwell and Mikey Piper with the goals for the Royals. Danny Evans, Andy White and two for Craig Barrett secured the three points for Bletch.

Division Four

Mark Mumfords two goals helped Wooton Reserves to a fourth consecutive win away at Chadlington Reserves. Frazer Scott got his third of the season and Charlie White with his first for Chadlington in their 3-1 defeat.

Combe Reserves came from behind twice to take all three points away at Kingham Reserves in a 4-3 thriller. Tom Matthews, Matt Lewis and Alex Stringer all scored for Kingham but Leon Richards and a hattrick from Leke Shodunks helped Combe to the win.

After their 1-1 draw only three weeks ago, Siege FC demolished Milton Reserves this time with a 9-1 win. Will Griffiths, Daryl Steele, Connor Harrison, Harrison Cameron, Chris Bowles, Nathan Howells and three for Karl Dodds made it 19 goals in Siege’s last two games.

Connor Ladbrooke’s double gave Stonesfield Reserves a narrow 2-1 victory over bottom of the table Spartan Rangers A.
