Oxfordshire Charity Cup

Carterton Town A crashed out of the Charity Cup in a 4-2 loss to Freeland over the weekend. Olly Bush and Dave Wanless with the goals for Carterton.

Jack Busby Memorial Trophy

Hanborough Reserves booked their spot in the final of the Jack Busby Trophy as they came from behind to beat Spartan Rangers Reserves 3-1. Matt Townsend gave Spartan the lead before an own goal, Dan Burgess and Herbie Hamilton saw Hanborough through. They’ll face Aston Reserves or Charlbury Reserves in the final.

Premier Division

Charlbury Town eased passed Combe to remain top of the table as they hit 6 without reply. Craig McCallum’s double, Steve Hunt, Joe Brook, Stefan Lang and Paul Allen helped Charlbury go 7 unbeaten.

Kirtlington made it 4 wins in 5 and moved up to fourth in their 4-0 win over Chipping Norton Town. Kaylum Patterson and Shane Probitts with a brace a piece.

Minster Lovell continued their run of good form as they beat Eynsham SSC 4-3. John Fletched for a brace for Minster, Eddy Dunn and Sam Wright were also on target. Matty Walkers double and John Ayres’ solo effort were only a consolation.

Hailey made it two wins on the trot for only the second time this season as they beat in-form Spartan Rangers 3-2. Henry Clarke scored for Spartan and they were also helped with an own-goal but goals from Connor Beveridge and two for Zachary Oliver moved Hailey up to seventh.

Jack Morton’s five goal haul helped Hanborough in their 10-0 win over bottom of the table, Witney Royals. Aston Leach scored two, Arron Hobley, Dan Haggie and Ian Steele were also all on target.

Division One

Mike Hedges hattrick was only a consolation in Aston’s 4-3 defeat to Bampton United. Jordan Day, Daniel Paintin, Lloyd Hancock and Connor Kelly all found themselves on the scoresheet.

Jonny Dover and a brace from Jamie MacDonogh helped Carterton Rangers in their 3-0 win away at Chadlington.

FC Hollybush picked up their first win in three as they beat struggling side, Milton, 4-1. Jim Littlewood scored for the visitors but goals from Luke Turner (2), Jacob Hughes and Dan Bishop secured all three points for Hollybush.

Division Two

Hailey Reserves pulled off their biggest win of the season as they beat title contenders, FC Ascott, 3-2, thanks to goals from Max Hazell and a brace from Curtis Hathaway. Steve Harries and Kyle Drummon were on target for Ascott.

Liam Barnes helped Middle Barton to their first win in three as he scored 2 in their 4-2 win over Chipping Norton Reserves. Tony Bott and Nick Acock were also on target for Barton. Dan Scarsbrook and Sam Mortimer scored for Chippy.

Title challengers Tower Hill and Tower Hill Stars couldn’t be split as their game ended 1-1 over the weekend. Leigh Smith scored for Tower, Luke Simmons for Stars.

Division Three

Aston Reserves scraped past Minster Lovell Reserves thanks to Gareth Preston’s solo goal, in their push for promotion.

Jimmy Deabill’s doubled helped Bletchington to an important point against Charlbury Town Reserves, as their game finished 2-2. Jack Mahoney and Bruce Claridge were on target for Charlbury.

Ducklington Reserves moved up to sixth in their 4-1 win over Witney Royals Reserves, thanks to Rory Dunseath’s brace and goals from Jack Meagher and Courage Nyenya. Oliver Carpenter scored the consolation for Royals.

Division Four

Chadlington Reserves picked up their first win since October as they beat FC Ascott Reserves 1-0. Scott Hardiman with the goal.

Kingham All Blacks Reserves got back to winning ways with convincing 3-0 win over local rivals Milton Reserves. Ben Harris scored twice, Chris Perrott rounded off the scoring.

Two goals for Leke Shodunke helped Combe Reserves to their fifth win in five, in their 2-1 win over Spartan Rangers A. Mev Gundeem with the goal for Spartan.

Brize Norton won their first game in 5 as they beat Wootton Reserves 5-1. Mark Mumford scored for the home side, Wootton. Dan Thomas and Steve Marshall scored a brace a piece, Jason Hirshfield with Brizes fifth.
