John Fathers Oxfordshire Junior Shield

Tower Hill progressed into the 5th round of the Junior Shield with a convincing 6-3 win away at AFC Banbury. Jack Scott found the back of the net on three occasions, Lewis Bartlett twice and James Scott added a sixth.

Carterton Rangers scraped through to the next round with a narrow 1-0 win away at Aston thanks to Adam Lee.

Carterton Town A found themselves in the next round of the cup as they went through on penalties against Combe, after the game finished 1-1 in extra-time. Olly Bush scored for Carterton and Leke Shodunke scored for Combe before Carterton won 6-5 on penalties.

Hanborough’s Aston Leach, Jack Morton and Dan Smith put them into the next round with a goal each against Chipping Norton Town, Andrew Helby replied in Chippy’s 3-1 loss.

FC Ascott were involved in an eight goal thriller as they beat hosts, Milton, 5-3 to see themselves through to round 5. Harry Lake, Jim Littlewood and Leigh Hilary all foudn the net for Milton but a Steve Harries’ hattrick and a brace from Tom Cairns saw Ascott through.

Premier Divison

Charlbur Town went 7 points clearer as they beat fourt place Kirtlington, 3-1. Paul Allen, Craig McCallum and Warwick Tompkins were all on target for Charlbury. Kaylum Patterson scored for Kirtlington.

Spartan Rangers picked up their second win of the season thanks to a Matt Swiergon goal, as they beat Minster Lovell 1-0.

Hailey beat fellow strugglers Witney Royals 4-0 in a much needed win, Martin Latimer, Luke Manning and Jack Wood (2) all found themselves on the scoresheet.

Divsion One

Daniel Paintin’s double was in vain as Bampton United were beaten 5-2 at home to Chadlington. Matt Chadwick also hit a brace, Jarvis Morley, Lee Woodward and Toby Walker secured the win.

Stonesfield started 2017 with a bang as they beat Ducklington 10-4, despite Will Brown’s hattrick for the hosts. Callum Mutch also scored for Ducklington but Jack Barker, Mike Phipps, Tim Wyatt, Fin Boland, Lewis Colwell (2), Nick Clarke (2) and Bruce Wilson (2) were all on hand to secure the three points and move Stonesfield up to sixth.

FC Nomads’ Chris Laurence was on target twice as they beat bottom of the league, Moreton Rangers, 4-1. Dave Pryse and Kristen Kane also scored for Nomads, Dave Groom for Moreton.

Divison Two

Brize Norton picked up their first win in 6 games with a 3-2 win over Witney Wanderers. Dan Humm and Jake Farraiga’s double helped Brize to all 3 points. Robin Farley and Stu Morrison replied for Wanderers.

Kingham All Blacks were held at Chipping Norton Reserves for the fourth time in a row as they drew 3-3. Shaun Collins, Rocky Burton and Matt Smith were on target for Chippy. Liam Goddard, Lewis Brain and Olly Peters hit back for Kingham.

Middle Barton moved up to fourth as they beat Hailey Reserves 3-2. Liam Barnes, Matt Thompson and Jack Fowler put Barton 3-0 up before Matt Knapton and David Weetman hit back, but it was too late.

Hanborough Reserves continued their great season with a 3-1 win over title challenders Tower Hill Stars, thanks to goals from Herbie Hamilton, Mark Stinchcombe and Ryan Sollis. Leigh Travers got Stars’ consolation.

Division Three

Bourton Rovers Reserves were held at home in an 8 goal thriller as they drew 4-4 with Aston Reserves. Lee Mosson and Keegan Bowes scored twice for the hosts but Reece Wain, Nick Angus and two for Benji Sunblad secured Aston a point.

Charlbury Town Reserves closed the gap at the top to 6 points as they beat Witney Royals reserves 3-2. Damian Corbin was on target twice for the home side, along with Gary Jones. Rob DeBanks and Wayne Moscrop scored for the visitors.

FC Hollybush Reserves won their first game since September in a convincing 9-0 win over bottom of the table, Bampton United Reserves. Alan Rogers, Bradley Bryant, Arron Hyatt, Charlie Miller, Stuart Lees, Alex Stubbs (2) and Joe Hatt (2) were all on target.

Minster Lovell Reserves and Ducklington Reserves were involved in the first 0-0 of the season as neither of the teams could find the back of the net.

Corinthians moved up to 5th with a 3-1 win over in-form Wootton. Frank Webb scored twice, Harry Purfitt made it three. Lee Spencer scored for Wootton.

Divison Four

Chadlington Reserves’ misery continued as they were beaten 4-0 at home to Brize Norton Reserves. Lee Litton, Jason Hirshfield, Dan Thomas and Haydn Partner were all on target.

Combe Reserves thrashed Wootton Reserves 7-2 as they made it 2 wins in 2. Chris Stewart and John Berkon were on target for Wootton but Sammy Hart, Leon Richards, Adam Fleetwood, Ashley Hilton, Tom Lane and Chris Drinnkwater (2) moved Combe up to 6th.

Kingham All Blacks secured a very good point as they drew 2-2 with second place FC Mills. James Quilty and Martin Dare were on target for Kingham, Davy Cooper and Lee Senior for Mills.

Siege FC secured top spot as they thrashed Stonesfield Reserves 7-0. Lee Manley and Nathan Howells scored two a piece, Tom Dix, Kev Lewis and Karl Dodds were all on target to.
