Fred Ford Cup - Second Round

A double from Vince Evans helped Aston through to the next round of the Fred Ford Cup in their 3-1 win away at Hailey. Jamie Kennedy also scored for Aston, Zachary Oliver found the net for the hosts.

Oxfordshire Charity Cup

Carterton Town A progressed to the third round of the county cup as they beat Yarnton 5-2. Yarnton fought back from 2 goals down in normal time, to make it 2-2, but Cartertons superiority showed in the extra-time thanks to goals from Mike Bolt, Tommy Burns and a hattrick for Olly Bush, taking his tally to 12 for the season.

Premier Division

After the 10-0 thrashing they suffered last week, Chipping Norton Town bounced back with a 4-2 win over Witney Royals. Liam Redhead and James O’Sullivan scored for Royals but a goal a piece for Dan Nimmo, Josh Hunt, Dan Bott and Rhys Warner-Carter moved Chippy up to fourth.

Charlbury Town went 5 points clear at the top of the table thanks to a solo effort from Dom Crisp in their 1-0 win over Spartan Rangers.

Division One

Carterton Rangers made it back to back wins with a comfortable 6-2 win away at Bampton United. Jake Pritchard and Connor O’Shea were on target for the hosts but goals from Jamie MacDonogh, Dan Hall and two each for Jonny Dover and Dan Chillington, secure Carterton all three points.

FC Hollybush’s Mark Threlfall just about kept their winning start to the season intact with the only goal in their narrow 1-0 victory over Chadlington.

Stonsefield made it three wins in three with a 7-0 thumping at home to Milton. Paul Penney and Ed Gilkes both bagged a double, Lewis Colwell, Matt Read and Ryan Hunt also found themselves on the scoresheet.

Division Two

Brize Norton have now gone 4 without a win as they were beaten 6-1 at home by Spartan Rangers Reserves. Ozzie Oswald scored Brize’s consolation but Kieren Watts’ four and goals from Maahir Alam and Nick Brown moved Spartan up to 8th in the table.

Kai Merritt’s hattrick helped FC Ascott up to third place as they beat bottom of the table Chipping Norton Reserves, 4-0. Jak Gibson scored the other from the spot.

Hanborough Reserves got back to winning ways and moved up to second in their narrow 2-1 win over Kingham All Blacks. Dan Burgess gave Hanborough the lead before Olly Peters equalised in the second half but Herbie Hamilton found the winner 15 minutes from time.

Tower Hill came out on top in their game against rivals Tower Hill Stars, winning 2-1. Will Smaldon scored for Stars but goals from James and Jack Scott saw Tower Hill go 5 points clear at the top of the table.

After their poor start to the season, Witney Wanderers seemed to have found their feet as they moved up to fifth with a 6-2 win at home to Hailey Reserves. Jacob Smith and Dan Hill scored for the visitors, Daryl John, Avi Rosenthal, Bernie Crumlish (2) and Stu Morrison (2) for the hosts.

Division Three

Nothing could split league leaders Bletchington and second place Charlbury Reserves as they battled hard for a 1-1 draw. Damian Corbin scored for Charlbury, Jake Godfrey for Bletch, they now both sit on 25 points.

Corinthian’s Frank Webb scored his 15th goal of the season in their 2-1 win over Bourton Rovers Reserves. Mason Belaoune also scored for Corinthians, Mark Payne with Bourtons goal.

Ducklington Reserves won their first game in 5 in a comfortable 3-0 win at home to Bampton United Reserves. Rory Dunseath (2) and Ady Kew with the goals.

Minster Lovell Reserves made easy work of Witney Royals Reserves in their 4-0 win away from home. Leo Haines (2), Rob Hipkin and Luke Hessey with the goals.

Wootton fell to their first defeat in 5 to the hands of Aston Reserves, who now sit level on points at top of the table with Bletchington and Charlbury Reserves. Nick Angus (2) and Ryan Lewis with the goals.

Division Four

Steve Thomson, Brook Jones and Brandon Laing secured all three points for FC Ascott Reserves in their 3-0 win away at Chadlington Reserves.

Siege FC dropped points in the league for the first time in 7 games as they were held 2-2 away at Combe Reserves, a game which saw Siege striker Tony McLeman suffer a leg break, all involved in the Witney and District wish him a speedy recovery. Carl Austin and Karl Dodds were on target for Siege but Mike Gardener and Angus Ibbitson made sure the points were split between the teams.

Eynsham Reserves got their first points of the season, thanks to the help of a few first team players, as they beat Wootton Reserves 5-1. Daniel Strain found the back of the net for Wootton but Andy Stratford, David Primhak, Stephen Chappel and John Ayres (2) moved Eynsham up to 10th.

FC Mills are now within two points of league leaders Siege FC, with two games in hand, as they put 9 past Spartan Rangers A without reply. Ryan Penn, James Rogers and Ian Parks all scored, Danny Rayfield and Paul Read both hit a hattrick.

Brize Norton Reserves made it 6 league wins in a row as they just beat Kingham Reserves 2-1. Adrian Williams scored for the hosts but goals from Richardy Duffy and Jason Hirshfield saw Brize move up to 5th.

Stonesfield Reserves lost their first league game of the season in 4-3 thriller with Milton Reserves. Alex Ayres and James Rawlings (3) were on target for Milton, Shaun Kemp and Connor Ladbrooke (2) for Stonesfield.
