John Fathers Oxfordshire Junior Shield

Bampton United crashed out of the cup in extra-time as they lost 5-3 to Banbury United Youth. Goals from Nathan Beckett, Connor O’Shea and Sid Ashley gave Bampton some hope but Banbury showed their class in extra-time and secured their place in the next round.

Fred Ford Cup - 2nd Round

Chadlington’s 5 game unbeaten run came to an end as they lost 2-0 at home to Witney Royals. Tom Jones and James O’Sullivan with the goals. Royals will face Kirtlington in the next round.

FC Hollybush came from 2-0 down to beat Spartan Rangers 3-2 and secure their place in the quarter finals. Matt Howard’s double got Spartan off to a flying start but Dan Bishop, Alan Rogers and Danny Brearly kept FC Hollybush’s unbeaten start to the season intact. Hollybush have been drawn at home against Minster Lovell in the next round.

Hanborough needed a 90th minute winner to help them through to the quarters, despite Steve Harries’ 18th goal of the season, in their 2-1 win over FC Ascott. Rob Keylock and Aston Leach were both on target for Hanborough. They’ll face either Hailey or Aston away.

Gareth Price’s early goal gave Kingham All Blacks the start they were looking for against Prem outfit, Combe but goals from Leke Shodunke and Charlie Ibbotson showed Combe’s superiority as they went on to win the game 2-1. They were drawn at home against Stonesfield or Carterton in the next round.

Kirtlington got back to winnings way, after 3 losses on the bounce, with an 8-2 thumping over Brize Norton. Pawel Bronk scored both of Brize’s goal but Anthony Brooker, Jake East and two each for Shane Probitts, Joe Goodgame and Olly Nee saw Kirtlington into the next round, where they’ll face Witney Royals.

Minster Lovell cruised into the quarter finals with a 4-0 win over Ducklington. Sam Wright found the net twice, Gary Mitchell and Pete Hanley also found themselves on the scoresheet.

Fred Ford Cup - 1st Round

Stonesfield came out on top in their tie away at Tower Hill Stars, thanks to a Lewis Colwell double and a solo effort from Nick Clarke. Will Graham and Leigh Travers hit back for Stars.

Premier Division

Carterton Town A were held at home to Chipping Norton Town in a 3-3 thriller. Chris McNeil, Dave Wanless and Mike Bolt found the goal for the hosts but goals from Rhys Warner-Carter, Dan Bott and Andy McCabe secured Chippy a point.

Charlbury Town moved to the top of the Prem in style as they thrashed Eynsham SSC 8-3. Craig McCallum found the net on three occasions for Charlbury, Joe Brook, Steve Fitzgerald, Stefan Lang, Mark Gone and Sean Gilbert all helped with the scoring. Nick Edwards, John Ayres and Matty Walker replied for Eynsham.

Division One

Aston moved up to second as they put 5 past FC Nomads without reply, thanks to an own goal and a brace a piece for Vince Evans and Adam Clarke.

Moreton Rangers secured their first points of the season with an emphatic 3-1 win away at Carterton Rangers. Jonny Dover scored for Rangers but Zak Ellis, Dave Toon and Joseph Boote gave Moreton the win of the season so far.

Division Two

Tower Hill seemed to have found their feet again with a comfortable 5-1 win away at Hailey Reserves. David Weetman scored for Hailey but Tower’s Ed Smith, Jamie Goodwin, Jamie Mariani, James Scott and Bradley Olive all found the back of the net.

After their poor start to the season Witney Wanderers made it 3 league wins on the bounce as they beat Hanborough Reserves 2-1, thanks to goals from Andrew Thomson and Mark Wright. Sean Godfrey with Hanborough’s goal.

Division Three

Jimmy Deabill was on target again, this time only with 4 as Bletchington put 9 past FC Hollybush Reserves. Jake Godfrey found the goal twice, Andy White, Danny Evans and Loren Bushay also found themselves on the scoresheet.

Damian Corbin’s hattrick helped Chalrbury Town Reserves to their ninth win of the season as they beat Aston Reserves 4-2. Tom Williams also scored for Charlbury, Darren Harris and Ryan Lewis for Aston.

Corinthians’ Frank Webb bagged four goals in their 4-4 thriller away at Witney Royals Reserves. Dan Harflett, Adam Grey and a Mikey Piper double ensured the points were shared between the teams.

Wootton moved up to fourth in Division Three thanks to a narrow 4-3 win over Ducklington Reserves. Tom Townsend netted twice for Duck, along with Dan Stanley but Chris Kerry, Jamie Hutton and Michael Steers’ double helped Wootton to their fourth successive win.

Division Four

Brize Norton Reserves secured their fifth win a row with 5 goals against Eynsham Reserves without reply. Scott Peaper and Dan Thomas both found the net, Richard Duffy with the other three.

Kingham Reserves got back to winning ways with a 4-2 win away at FC Ascott Reserves. Nathan Brookes, Dan Lay, Shane Cooper and Eddy Webb gave Kingham an initial 4-0 lead but the comeback for Ascott was too little too late, Brandon Laing and Christopher Blayney with their goals.

FC Mills moved to within a point of top in a narrow 3-2 victory at home to Wootton Reserves. Danny Rayfield, Paul Real and Davy Cooper were all on target for Mills. Jacob Cooke and Daniel Strain found the net for Wootton.

Siege FC remained top of the table with a 5-0 against bottom of the league, Spartan Rangers A. Nathan Howells, Karl Dodds, Connor Harrison, Chris Jones and Lee Marsden were all on target for Siege.

Stonesfield Reserves remained unbeaten in the league with a comfortable 3-0 win at home to Chadlington Reserves. Keith Laird, Jamie Gardner and Connor Ladbrooke with the goals.
