John Fathers Oxfordshire Junior Shield

Aston’s Vince Evans scored with the last kick of the game to take them into extra-time against Broughton & Norton Newington. They went on to win the game 2-1, thanks to a goal from Matt Smith.

Chipping Norton won their first game in three in style as they beat hosts Banbury Galaxy 7-1. Josh Hunt scored two, Andy McCabe, Mark Corbett, Sam Jones, Dean Blake and Rhys Warner-Carter also found themselves on the score sheet.

Hanborough found themselves in the next round of the cup thanks to a bye, Bletchington couldn’t get a side.

Pawel Bronk’s brace was in vain as Brize Norton were thrashed 12-2 by Banbury outfit, Diverse FC.

Carterton Town A made it five wins on the bounce as they comfortably beat Deddington 4-1. Two goals each for Olly Bush and Mike Bolt.

Chadlington scraped through to the next round with a 7-6 penalty win over Chesterton, drawing 3-3 after 120 minutes. Lee Woodward, Ashley Scearce and Matt Chadwick with the goals.

Craig McCallums double and a goal from Warwick Tompkins saw Charlbury through to the next round with a 3-2 win over Horton.

Combe found themselves into the third round of the cup as they hit Minster Lovell for 5 without reply. Dan Taylor, Ethan Penney, Simon Gale and two from Matt Baker saw Combe progress.

Division Three side Corinthians caused the biggest upset of the weekend beating Division One outfit Stonesfield 2-1. Daryl Wells found the net twice for the hosts, Tim Wyatt replied.

Ducklington crashed out of the cup after they were hammered 10-3 by AFC Banbury. Luke Hessey, Bruce Harris and Rory Dunseath all found the goal for Duck, now without a win in 4.

Eynsham’s fifth straight defeat in a row was at the hands of Oxford based Union Street, losing 5-3. Nathan Prestige, Ashley Bowerman and John Ayres all found themselves on the scoresheet but it wasn’t enough to see Eynsham through.

Steve Harries found the back of the net for the 17th time this season as his side FC Ascott narrowly beat Bodicote 2-1. Ben Powell was also involved in the scoring for Ascott.

Witney Royals crashed out of the cup in extra time as they lost 4-3 to FC Langford. Miles Roberts, James O’Sullivan and Dan Frost all scored for Royals in their narrow defeat.

Jack Wood’s hattrick helped Hailey through to the next round as they beat Kingsmere United 4-0. Travis O’Connor also found the back of the net.

Carterton Rangers got back to winning ways with a 4-2 win away at Kirtlington. Alex Metcalfe and Ross Gray scored for the hosts but goals from Dan Hall, Mykel Ryan, Jamie MacDonogh and Billy Hales saw Carterton into the next round.

A first half double hattrick from Matt Howard helped Spartan Rangers dismantled Banbury side Souldern FC 8-0. Josh Grant and Charlie Waite also found themselves on the scoresheet.

Three goals for Middle Barton’s John Umney helped his side beat local rivals Steeple Aston in a 4-3 thriller. They were also helped by an own-goal.

Bradley Olive, Jack Scott, Jamie Mariani and Jamie Goodwin were all on target as Tower Hill put 4 past Kingham All Blacks without reply, seeing them into the next round of the cup.

Tower Hill Stars also worked their way in Round 3 as they beat Siege FC 3-0, thanks to goals from Leigh Travers and two for Will Graham.

Milton were made to work hard in their 5-3 win over Witney Wanderers. Avi Rosenthal, Kevin Wheatley and Callum Read all scored for the home side but Milton’s Chris Godfrey, Jim Littlewood, Stephen Pearce and Robin Stowe’s double saw them into the next round.

FC Hollybush continued their fine form with a 4-1 win away at Wroxton Sports. Two each for Alan Rodgers and Dan Bishop made it 9 wins in 9 for Hollybush.

Jack Busby Memorial Trophy

Bourton Rovers Reserves hit back well after their 13-0 defeat last week with a 5-3 win over Wootton Reserves, seeing them through to the second round of the cup. Mark Mumford found the net twice and James Smith also scored for Wootton but goals from Keegan Bowes, Lee Mosson and a hattrick for Alex Winter saw Bourton progress.

Division One

FC Nomads moved up to 5th in the table thanks to Moreton Rangers forfeiting their fourth game of the season.

Division Two

Alex Tompson’s goal helped Spartan Rangers Reserves to their first win since the opening day of the season in a 1-0 win over league leaders Hanborough Reserves.

Division Three

Wootton made it 3 wins in 3 as they scored 3 without reply away at FC Hollybush Reserves. Karl Gustha, Michael Steers and Lee Spencer were all on the score sheet.

Charlbury Town Reserves closed the gap at the top of the table and took all three points thanks to a bye against Minster Lovell Reserves.

League leaders Aston Reserves remained unbeaten after they hammered Witney Royals Reserves 11-1. Simon Mills scores for Royals but a hattrick from Nick Angus, braces for Pete Jenkins, Ryan Lewis, Reece Wain and a goal a piece for Matt Wood and Darren Harris made certain Aston remained top.

Division Four

FC Mills moved within a point of top with a 4-2 win away at Milton Reserves, who sit in third. Harry Lake and Rob James scored for the hosts but Ian Parks, Paul Read and two goals for Jonny Room ensured the Mills win.

Stonesfield Reserves kept their unbeaten run intact with a 4-1 win over Kingham Reserves. Matt Lewis opened the scoring for the visitors but Stonesfield hit back with goals from Komon Matthews, Jamie Gardner, Liam Hatton and Connor Labrooke.
