Oxfordshire Charity Cup – Quarter Final
A Mike Duerden hat trick helped send West Witney through to the semi-finals of the Charity Cup after a 5-0 defeat of Launton. Ian Sparkes and Seb White netted the other goals.

Premier Division
Witney Royals’ great escape continued as they picked up their second win in as many weeks. This time a 3-2 defeat of title hopefuls Bourton Rovers also proved the surprise result of the weekend. Max Lucas, Adam Clarke and Ryan Colleton all got on the score sheet with Arron Windsor’s hitting the back of the net twice for Bourton. The result could have been worse for Bourton, had Jamie Kennedy not missed from the spot.

At the top, Carterton Town A closed the gap on leaders West Witney to just 3 points after a 5-3 defeat of Hailey. The hosts scored through Ian Steele, Luke Manning and Mo Semlali, but were lead a merry dance as Liam Elliot, Kevin Rookes, Jason Lonsdale, Jack Lonsdale and Phil Stannard all found the back of the net for the visitors.

Matt Baker scored a hat trick for Combe but still ended up on the wrong end of a 6-3 score line as hosts Hanborough eased to a win. Joey Burgess (2), Rob Keylock (2), Aston Leach and Max Roberts all got on the score sheet for Boro’.

Division One
Division One leaders Eynsham SSC dropped valuable points as they were held to a 3-3 draw with mid-table Chadlington. The hosts scored through Dan King, John Ayres and Matt Walker, but parity was brought to the score line after Steven Hunt’s brace and Jordan Godfreys strike levelled the tie.

Title hopefuls Carterton Rangers failed to capitalise on Eynsham’s slip as they themselves dropped all 3 points against FC Hollybush. Steve Holder and Alan Rogers scored for the hosts with Ben Pearce netting for Rangers.

Division Two
Carterton Town B continued their charge to the Division Two title, with a 5-1 demolition of Witney Wanderers. They now sit 10 points clear of second place courtesy of a Dan Sollis hat trick and goals from Lee Beer and Olly Bush. Stu Morrison scored Wanderers only consolation.

Second placed Bampton United lost ground on the leaders after being held to a 2-2 draw with Chipping Norton Town Reserves. Mark Stevens and Matt Smith were on target for the hosts with Connor O’Shea and Jake Pritchard replying for Bampton.

FC Nomads went down 3-2 to Minster Lovell. Chris Laurence was again on target for the promotion chasing hosts but a Nathan Bowles double and a strike from Andy Horne settled the tie in favour of Minster.

Milton drew a blankey blank against hosts Spartan Rangers Reserves who eased to a 3-0 win. Dave Cross (2) and Ben Allen were both on target.

Gareth Price got on the score sheet for Kingham AB as they went down 3-1 to Moreton Rangers.

Division Three
Bampton United Reserves produced the shock of the day in Division Three after the relegation threatened side beat previous division leaders Eynsham A 3-2. Dan Paintin’s brace accompanied a Grant Paintin strike to hold on for the points as Jordan Lyne and Oli Hinchcliffe replied in vain for Eynsham.

In the proverbial promotional 6-pointer, it was honour even as Tower Hill Stars dew 1-1 with Tower Hill. Craig Mays scored for Stars with Lewis Bartlett netting for the visitors.

Corinthians had a field day against FC Mills, hitting eleven without reply in an 11-0 trouncing. Sam King and Frank Webb each scored a hat trick with the rest being shared amongst Jake Woodcock, Daryl Wells, Peter Barnicoat, Harry Puffitt and Luke Cuthbert. Jamie Flemings strike for Mills was scant consolation.

A single John Umney goal was enough for a 1-0 win for Middle Barton over Wootton.

Division Four
FC Hollybush’s good form continued courtesy of a 6-3 win over Spartan Rangers A. Dave Cooper scored a hat trick with Darren Smith (2) and Arron Hyatt netting the others. Matt Townsend, Scott Mason and Jamie Hopkins’ goals for Spartan were not quite enough.

Lee Parsons scored a four-timer in Eynsham SSC Reserves 6-1 thrashing of Chadlington Reserves. Darren Mobey and Dan Johnson got the others with Callum Jeffries scoring Chad’s only goal.

Aston Reserves promotion hopes were dealt a blow after going down 6-0 to Milton Reserves. Dan Hootton scored a hat trick for the hosts with Stephen Hocknell (2) and Pauy Townsend getting the others.

Chris Jordan, Jake Davis, Lewis Hanks, Nick Clarke and Liam Hutton were all on the score sheet for Stonesfield Reserves in their 5-1 win over Kingham AB Reserves. Dan Lay scored the only goal for Kingham.
