Premier Division
The Witney & District Football league got underway once again at the weekend and has already produced a shock! Current Champions and this seasons favourites to retain their title, West Witney were humbled by Chipping Norton Town, going down 2-1. Dan Brierly scored for the hosts but a goal each from Andy McCabe and Matty Jeffries turned the tie on its head and sent all three points back to Chipping Norton.

Ducklington kicked off their campaign with a comfortable 4-1 win over Brize Norton; who make their return to the Premier Division. Mark Rawlings and Jakob Ondriska each bagged a brace for Duck, who finished runners up last season. Pawel Bronk hit the lone reply for Brize.

b]Division One[/b]
Chris Lawrence scored a hat trick in FC Nomads opening 5-1 thrashing of Kingham AB. Jonty Russell scored for the visitors, but further goals from Dave Pryse and Dan Collins ensured the hosts would claim all three points.

Frank Clarke scored twice in Spartan Rangers 4-0 win over FC Hollybush. The newly promoted hosts struggled to get into their stride as Rory Dunseath and Martin Latimer settled the tie in favour of the visitors.

Aston went down 3-0 to Bourton Rovers. Sam Mattock, Joe Jarvis and Jamie Stroud each scored in the win.

North Leigh beat Hailey Reserves 3-1 with Craig Greenhalgh, (2) and Tom Radburn getting on the score sheet. Mo Semlali scored Hailey’s lone reply.

Division Two
FC Mills hit the ground running in Division Two as they notched a 6-0 win over Enstone. RobDeBanks lead the scoring with a double as James Rogers, Jordan Hare, Jason Thomas and Warren Senior (pen) all added to the tally.

A single strike from Ollie Bush gave Carterton B a 1-0 win over Bampton United. Milton beat Kirtlington by the same score line with Jake Foster finding the back of the next.

Division Three
If its goals you want then Division Three is the place to be with 28 scored across just 4 games. The highest scorers were Ducklington A who recorded a 10-0 demolition of Brize Norton Reserves. Jack Scott picked up a 4-goal haul with Lewis Bartlett (2), Luke Bolley, Yassin Elouatlnbi, Stu Cutts and Alton Richards also getting in on the act.

Chipping Norton Town Reserves weren’t far off the pace, notching an 8-1 routing of Bourton Rovers Reserves. Harry Smith scored for the hosts, but a Matt Smith hat trick was followed by goals from Shaun Kemp (2), Matt Chadwick, Ryan Green and Jarvis Morley.

The goals were also flowing at Wootton where the hoses went down 5-2 to newly promoted Corinthians. Dan Heath and Jon Holder found the back of the net for Wootton but Corinthians outgunned them with goals from Dan Hackett, Aiden Ford, Luke Hessey, Daniel Smith and Frank Webb.

It finished honours even at Middle Barton as the hosts played out a 1-1 draw with Spartan Rangers Reserves. Middle Barton and Nick Angus scored for Middle Barton and Spartan Respectively.

Division Four
Eynsham A beat Milton Reserves 6-0 with Ollie Page picking up a hat trick.Oliver Hinchcliffe also scored with Connor Peackock and Jordan Lune adding.

Eynsham SSC Reserves narrowly edged past Aston Reserves picking up a 4-3 win. They have a Dan Harwood hat trick to thank after goals from Tom Dexter, Matt Jameson and Ian Wells had levelled the tie. Kevin Webb scored Eynsham’s 4th.

Tower Hill Reserves came from a goal behind to beat FC Hollybush Reserves 2-1. Debutant Adam Rackham gave the hosts the lead but two further first half goals from Ashley Overton and Richard Meredith ensure the visitors took all 3 points.
