Change of names to our cups

Bob and Margaret Watts have decided to step down from the committee at the end of the season Bob has 50 years service with the WDFA; firstly as a player, then as Registration Secretary, then League Secretary and finally as President, a role he will continue in. Margaret joined the Committee nearly 20 years ago, the first woman to do so and has been involved with the Results and Registrations ever since.

I would like to thank them for all there work and I'm sure the WDFA would not be in the position it is today if it wasn't for there efforts.

In honour of their service We are renaming the Junior Cup the WATT'S Junior Cup to acknowledge and thank them for every thing they have done for the WDFA.

As an additional point we also decided to honour Ted Young by naming the Senior Cup after him
Many of you won't know necessary know Ted, but he was the league secretary and fixtures secretary for many, many years and was the focal point of the League in the 1970's and 1980's.
He was also President for a good few years as well
Oh and a lovely man to boot.

Both of these changes will take place from this season and we hope the recipients of this will be around to present the trophies to the winners.
