Fred Ford Cup

The first of this season’s quarter finals have taken place and division one's Witney Royals are the first name into the final four with an upset against premier division Charlbury Town.In a tightly fought contest Damon Tolley scored the only goal of the game as Royals progressed into the semi-
finals.
Supplementary Cup

This seasons Supplementary Cup has a slightly European feel to it with each round to be played over two legs. Hailey A and Brize Reserves faced off in the first round this weekend, with Hailey A comfortably victorious. Mob Semlali scored a hat-trick as Hailey put their division four counterparts to the sword. Karl Smith added the other goal in the 4-0 win leaving Brize with a mountain to climb in the return fixture.

Premier Divisio

Early goals in each half guided Carterton FC to victory in the top of the table clash versus Stonesfield.Mark Threlfall struck a composed free kick within the first 10 minutes but Carterton didn't have things all their own way as Stonesfield pushed hard for the equaliser. A string of comfortable saves and last ditch tackles kept Carterton ahead but Stonesfield were gifted anopportunity to equaliser as the referee pointed to the spot. Sadly, Mike Phipps' tame effort was fired straight down the middle of the goal and Mike Hedges was able to guide the ball to safety with his legs.Only one goal to the good, Carterton started brighter in the second half and Dan Bishop gambled on a lopping ball into the box and flicked the ball past the on rushing keeper, into the empty net.Victory was sealed with a fine 30 yard strike from Alex Stubbs which squirmed under the keeper for 3-0.Stonesfield pushed for a consolation and despite hitting the woodwork they were left goalless as Carterton remain at 100% for the season.
Carterton FC have daylight at the top of the league now after Hailey FC sacrificed their own 100% record in defeat by Carterton Rangers. Adam Lee's double set Rangers well on the way to victory in the 3-1 win. Billy Hales scoring their third. Sam Wheeler replied for Hailey who slip to fourth having been leapfrogged by their opponents in the table.
Tower Hill got their first home win of the season at the fourth attempt as they defeated Spartan Rangers 1-0. Luke James the difference maker as he sent Tower seventh in the league.

Division One

Minster Lovell Reserves survived a scare in a seven goal thriller with Chadlington FC to keep themselves top of the league. In difficult conditions the game ebbed and flowed with chances for both sides. Chadl

Enstone thrashed Bampton United to inflict their first defeat of the season. It was a first half masterclass from Enstone as they found themselves 4-0 up at the break. Reece Bayliss
scoring two fine solo goals and joined by Andy MCabe as he scored two of his own. A fifth was added in the second half by Warwick Tompkins and had it not been for the excellent keeping by Tom Soanes it could have been a lot more. It finished 5-0 leaving Enstone just a point behind Minster
In another game to involve five goals Kingham All Blacks were able to put a small gap between themselves and the bottom two by beating second bottom Bourton Rovers by 4 goals to 1. Connor Hitchman scored for visiting Bourton but the hosts ran away with it thanks to a Gaz Price double and further goals from Dan Davies and Sam Selley.

Division Two

It was a battle of first versus fourth as Hook Norton hosted Carterton Reserves. Hook Norton were looking to maintain their 100% start to the season with the visitors hoping to close the gap on their rivals.Hooky started brightly and went ahead through Ben Mobey but Carterton were soon level thanks to Dan Brearley’s header. Carterton then took the lead thanks to Carl Williams, who finished clinically with the outside of his foot after an assist from Bradley Bryant. Things got even better for Carterton as yet another Dan Brearley header gave Carterton some daylight in the game. In a frantic final few minutes of the first half, Hooky pulled one back through James Ingham only for Carterton to restore their two goal advantage thanks to John Andrews' goal.The drama intensified in the second half as both sides missed penalties but Carterton made sure of the three points thanks to a Hook Norton own goal. The 5-2 victory means Carterton are just two points behind their opponents in the table.

Carterton Town B were also scoring five as they finally recorded their first league win of the season as they beat Eynsham SSC 5-2. John Ayres double put Eynsham into the game but Michael Flavell replied with a double of his own for Town and they pushed on for victory thanks to further goals from Tyler Webster, Dan Robinson and Scott Bamford.

Dom Hemmings recorded his fifth goal in January as he found the net three times in Charlbury Reserves victory over Siege FC. Hemmings followed up from his double last weekto set Charlbury up for the win. Kev Lewis and Gez Morgan replied for Siege who will be left to rue what might have been having lead at one stage but also missed a penalty which would have made it 3-3. Damien Corbin scored Charlbury's fourth as it finished 4-2.

Lee Spencer scored a hat-trick as he took his January total to 7 goals, helping Wootton Sports thrash Spartan Rangers Reserves 6-2. Michael Steers, Jamie Hutton and Callum Flannery scored the other three for Wootton. Dave Cross and Scott Mason replied for Spartan.

Brize Norton have slipped to fourth after succumbing to a 2-1 reverse against Ducklington. Ryan Weston scored for a Brize who would have hoped to have kept pressure on the top sides but were undone by goals from Ady Kew and Tom Townsend as Ducklington held on for the win despite some late Brize pressure

Division Three

double with one apiece for Aaron Bowerman and Jack Pease. The game finishing as a 4-4 draw
Stonesfield Reserves upset high flying FC Mills as they recorded their first home win of the season. Mills, who would have gone second with three points, scored through Aaron French but Stonesfield hit back with Fred Kinnersley’s brace and Daniel Thomas’ goal secured the three points for Stonesfield.

Division Four

Milton Reserves continue to hold all the cards in division four after beating FC Ascott 5-0. Martin Kraus hit two to send Milton well on the way to preserving their 100% status in the league. Louis Breaks, Woody Collett and Duncan Cooper also scored one each as Milton moved within three points of the league leaders and with two games in hand.FC Ascott remain bottom and without a point this season.

Bampton United Reserves and Spartan Rangers A both missed an opportunity to gain three points as they cancelled each other out completely over the ninety minutes. It was a game for the defenders as it finished
