Witney and District Senior Cup

Combe made it through to the semi finals in extra time with a 3-1 win away at Chipping Norton Town. Dan Bott scored for Chippy but Charlie Ibbotson and Matt Baker’s doubled saw Combe through.

Carterton Town A also found themselves into the semi-finals after narrowly beating Hailey 3-2, thanks to a Mike Bolt penalty and two goals from Olly Bush. Tom Gregory and Ford Davis were on target for Hailey.

Kaylum Patterson’s goal was in vain as Kirtlington suffered their first loss in 5, losing 4-1 to the unbeaten Hanborough. Joey Burgess, Arron Hobley, Craig Johnson and Dan King all found themselves on the scoresheet.

Witney and District Supplementary Cup

Aston Reserves’ Ryan Lewis hit four as his side put 5 past FC Ascott Reserves without reply. Aaron Robins scored the other to help Aston through to the semis.

Charlbury went ten unbeaten in their 6-1 thrashing over Spartan Rangers A. Mev Gundeem scored the consolation for the home side but a Damian Corbin hattrick and goals from Bruce Claridge, Brennan Marles and Jack Mahoney saw Charlbury through to the semi finals.

Witney and District Junior Cup

FC Ascott came from 2-0 down to beat Spartan Rangers Reserves 4-3 and see them into the next round. Nick Brown’s double and Matt Townsend consolation weren’t enough for Spartan as a Steve Harries double and goals from Tom Cairns and John Wood saw Ascott through.

Two goals from Jacob Hughes and a Danny Brearley solo effort saw FC Hollybush into the semis in their 3-0 win away at Stonesfield.

Tower Hill eased past rivals Tower Hill Stars, hitting them for 6 without reply. Jack Scott scored his fourth hattrick of the season, Luke James, Luke Bolley and James Scott also found themselves on the scoresheet.

Division One

Aston moved up to third in their 4-1 win over struggling side, Milton. Stephen Pearce scored for the visitors, Dan Molony, Mike Hedges, Ryan Colleton and Vince Evans were all on target for the home side.

Division Two

Middle barton moved up to fifth thanks to goals from Tony Bott and Liam Barnes, in their 2-0 win over third place, Hanborough Reserves.

Kingham All Blacks made it two wins and two clean sheets in two games as they made light work of Witney Wanderers, winning 4-0. Sam Philpott found himself on the scoresheet again with a double, Dom Hemmings and Ben Harris were also on target for the All Blacks.

Division Three

Courage Nyenya rescued a point for Ducklington Reserves as their game finished 1-1 with Wootton. Lee Spencer with the visitors goal.

Minster Lovell Reserves picked up their first win in 10 as they beat bottom of the table Bampton United Reserves, 4-1. Nick Rose bagged a hattrick, Luke Hessey was also on target. Daniel Paintin with Bamptons only goal.

Division Four

Kingham All Blacks Reserves made it 5 clean sheets in their last 6 league games with a 1-0 win over Brize Norton Reserves. James Quilty with the only goal of the game and his sixth of the season.

Combe Reserves moved up to fourth thanks to goals from Joe Lane and Leon Richards, in their 2-0 win over Milton Reserves.

Eynsham Reseres pulled off the shock of the weekend as they beat FC Mills 2-1, securing their second win of the season. Lee Parsons and Ryan Stockford scored for Eynsham, Danny Rayfield with Mills’ goal.
