John Fathers Oxfordshire Junior Shield 17-18 - Fourth Round
Two goals from Jake Godfrey saw Bletchington qualify for the Junior Shield Quarter Finals in their 2-1 win over SWIS from the Banbury and District League who had a man sent off during the match.

Premier Division
FC Hollybush further increased their lead at the top of the Premier Division after their 4-2 win over Charlbury Town. Michael Duerden and Craig Mays each bagged a brace in the win which saw them go nine points clear at the top. Matt Smith’s double for Charlbury was all they had to show for their efforts.

Leaders Hollybush were again aided in their quest for the title in part to Kirtlington recording their third successive defeat. The undoubted result of the weekend saw Combe record only their second win of the season with a 1-0 score line. Mike Gardener netted the goal for the hosts.

Hanborough got back to winning ways with a comfortable 6-1 win over Hailey. Dan Haggie and Joey Burgess each scored twice with Jack Morton and Craig Johnson getting the others.

Spartan Rangers had no problem finding the goal posts on Saturday as they smashed in four between the sticks past Chipping Norton Town in a 4-2 win. Kieran Watts (2), Luke Pettifer and Jon Clarke scored the goals for Spartan while Rhys Warner-Carter and Dan Bott pulled two back for Chippy.

Carterton Rangers and Minster Lovell played out a 0-0 draw which, by their own admission, was a game that “neither side would ever want to talk about again!”.

Division One
There were few surprised in Division One especially at the top where the leading pack all took maximum points. Aston saw off Witney Royals Reserves in a narrow encounter which ended 2-1. James Fleming scored both goals for the hosts before Dave Cross pulled one back for Royals.

James Scott scored twice in Tower Hill’s 4-2 win over Eynsham SSC. Matty Walker and an Own goal put ticks Eynsham’s goals column, however further goals from Jamie Harris and Josh Lathey secured the points for Tower Hill.

Stonesfield beat Chadlington 2-0 with Carry Rice and Nick Clarke getting on the score sheet.

There’s a new name at the bottom of Division Two as the previous incumbents Bampton United beat fellow strugglers, FC Nomads 5-3. Dan Paintin (2), Jake Pritchard (2) and Frazer Cooper scored the goals which dragged them up into ninth place; 2 points from safety. Despite Ben Moffat’s brace and another goal from Chris Laurence, Nomads are now looking up at the rest of the Division.

A single Alex Ayres goal was enough to secure a 1-0 win and all three points as his side Milton saw off Tower Hill Stars.

Division Two
The results in Division Two went to form on Saturday resulting in Middle Barton retaining their five point lead at the top. Tony (2) and Paul Beckham (2) combined with Martin Clynes to help Middle Barton to a 5-1 win over visiting Hailey for whom Connor Beveridge scored.

Moreton Rangers in second place sustained their pressure on top spot by beating Aston Reserves 4-1. They raced to a 4-0 half time lead with goals from Wayne Berry, Joe Boote, Ben Burdock and Zac Ellis.

Kingham All Blacks moved into fourth place after they saw off Brize Norton 2-1. Ryan Barrass and Sam Philpott scored for Kingham with Gezz Morgan pulling one back for Brize.

Bourton Rovers beat Charlbury Town Reserves by the same 4-1 score line with Lee Mosson getting a double. Harry Larner and Max Salx got the other two with Damien Corbin replying for the hosts.

Hanborough Reserves went down 2-1 to Witney Wanderers. Aston Leach scored for Boro’ but goals from Bernie Crumlish and Ben Border secured the points for Wanderers.

Division Three
There were goals aplenty in Division Three which saw 32 scored across 5 games. Gary Mitchell recorded one of the days hat tricks as he helped Minster Lovell Reserves to a 6-1 win over Wootton with Josh White (2) and veteran hotshot Craig Sallis getting the other. Michael Steers’ goal for Wootton was mere consolation.

Form was everything in the match between once-struggling Bourton Rovers and fourth placed Corinthians who have now drawn their last two matches. Ben Hughes scored twice for Bourton with Frank Webb hitting a double for Corinthians.

Ducklington beat Combe Reserves 7-2 with George Townsend picking up a hat trick. Sam Doherty, Ady Kew, Samm Murphy and Jack Meagher were all also on target for the hosts. Kyle Page and Ian Law hit back in vain for Combe.

Leaders Siege FC smashed six past Milton Reserves in their 6-1 win. Tom Radburn (2), Karl Dodds, Ben Reardon and Nathan Howells were all on the score sheet in the win with Dan Hootton scoring Milton’s consolation.

FC Mills remain in the bottom two after going down 4-1 to hosts, Witney Royals Reserves. Stuart George opened the scoring with a close range volley, which preceded strikes from Ollie Nolan, Mikey Piper and Ryan Harris. Cody Davies replied with Mills’ consolation.

Division Four
Carterton Town B stay a point clear at the top of Division Four after their convincing 8-0 thrashing of Brize Norton Reserves. Dave Wanless scored a hat trick in the win with Shay Lowthian, Si Oakley, Noven Labor, Ryan Clement and Jordan Finnemore all finding the back of the net.

Wootton Reserves stay in second place courtesy of their 4-1 win over Eynsham SSC Reserves. Aaron Bowerman, Will Gayton, Elliott Higgins and Jack Pease were all on target for the hosts as Ben Partlett replied for Eynsham.

Chadlington Reserves went down 2-1 to Kingham AB Reserves with Adrian Williams and Dan Lay scoring the winning goals after Charlie Pearce’s goal had earlier given the hosts hope.

Michael Trafford scored four of his sides eight we Bletchingdon Reserves beat Spartan Rangers A 8-0. Senan Simmons (2), Toby Smith and Nigel Taylor got the others.
